Winter feeder for fishing with your own hands. Self-made bird feeder for winter fishing

Any fishing, as is known, should be accompanied by feeding a place. For winter, this rule should be observed all the more. Firstly, if there is a fish in the place where you are going to drill holes, it will remain there for the entire time of fishing. Secondly, if you have inaccurately determined the place of parking, the bait in any case it will attract. Thirdly, as they say, you can not spoil the porridge with oil.

But if in the summer everything is simple: mixed up and abandoned, then winter fishing requires the use of feeders that are as inconspicuous as possible for the fish or able to accurately deliver the bait mixture to the bottom and gently unload it.

For this purpose, special winter structures are used. They are freely sold in any fishing shop, but we will talk specifically about homemade models, and also consider the question of how to make a winter feeding trough for fishing with your own hands.

Types of winter feeders

Winter feeders, in contrast to the summer, can not boast of a variety of designs. There are only two of them:

1. Stationary feeder, designed for fishing on the current. It with the help of a fishing line is lowered to the bottom, where it remains all the time fishing. Feeding troughs for fishing on stream usually have a perforated casing so that the water flow can freely wash out the feeding mixture, spreading it along the bottom space.

2. The opening feeder? Or "dumper"? Used for catching in standing water or on a small current. Usually such a design has a movable cover, which is opened by the fisherman only when it is immersed on the bottom.

Requirements for a stationary feeder

The stationary feeder for winter fishing on the current must meet the following requirements:

  • Be invisible to fish;
  • Have enough weight to resist the current and stay in a certain place;
  • Its volume and the size of the holes in the body must correspond to the force of the flow.

Stationary feeder from a plastic bottle

Consider how a simple stationary winter feeder for fishing with your own hands is made. In view of the first requirement, it is easiest to make it from a conventional transparent plastic bottle. In water such plastic is practically not visible, and the kind of the bait the fish will not especially embarrass.

The feeder from the bottle is made very simply. It is enough to calculate the size and number of holes for perforation, to make them in the walls and the bottom, to load the feeder and tie a piece of solid fishing line to it, along the length sufficient to dive it to the bottom in the deepest part of the catching.

However, it also has its own requirements. Firstly, with intensive flow, the bait is washed out faster, therefore, its volume should be larger (1-1.5 liter bottle). Secondly, the size of the holes for a strong water flow is no more than 0.5-0.8 mm. Thirdly, if the feeder is installed directly on the bottom surface, the bottom of the bottle is not perforated. If you plan to suspend it, the bottom still have to hole.

As for the load, the feeder from the bottle must have vertical stability, despite the strength of the flow. It is achieved by placing the cargo on the bottom of the feeder. In its quality it is possible to use nuts, bolts, lead weights, etc.

The simplest disposable paper feeder

A self-made bird feeder for winter fishing, imagine, maybe one-off. Such a construction can be made directly on the spot of fishing. The main thing is that at hand there was a sheet of paper, some kind of load and, in fact, a bait.

A cone of the right size is made of paper. From the side of its top a line of sufficient length and strength is attached. Further our "bag" is hammered by a bait. It can be a stern streamer, and vegetable mixtures, and their mixes. At the end, the cargo is placed. The lower edges of the cone are densely bent inward in such a way that the bait and sinker do not fall out.

When you lower this feeder in the hole, the paper will get wet, and the fisherman, after reaching the bottom, will only have to make a sharp but accurate jerk for the line. At this time, the bait is poured on the bottom in the right place.

Of course, such a self-made bird feeder for winter fishing is not the best means for feeding, but it still has a right to exist.

PE bag

The following design is also very simple, but working. For its manufacture we will need:

  • Small plastic bag;
  • Cargo in the form of a large bolt;
  • Nylon thread;
  • Fishing line.

From a plastic bag, we form a cone (you can cut its angle). At its apex, using a nylon thread, fasten the bolt head up. We fasten the line to the head of the bolt. That's all, homemade feeder for winter fishing from the package is ready.

The principle of its use is simple, as is the design. Turn the cone with the vertex down. We fill it with a bait and lower it into the hole. Water when immersed will squeeze the package, and the bait will not be poured. And when the feeder reaches the bottom, the fisherman will only need to sharply pull the line. As a result, the package will be turned inside out, the bait will fall to the bottom.

An opening winter feeder for fishing, made by myself

Now let's talk about how to make a reliable reusable model of tin. The design that we will try to make, is used by fishermen long ago and everywhere. In addition, due to its simplicity, it has earned an excellent reputation. Tinny winter feeder for fishing with their own hands - it's simple, but quite troublesome. In the actual manufacturing process, there is nothing complicated. The only thing that making a trough for winter fishing from tin requires elementary skills to work with metal.

But, let's start in order.

To make a feeder we need:

  • Galvanized sheet metal;
  • Scissors for metal;
  • marker;
  • Drill with a set of drills;
  • Thin steel wire;
  • Lead washer or plate.

On paper, draw a drawing of our future feeder. Draw a square of 30x30 cm. Now we transfer the "pattern" to the sheet and cut it out. Next, mark the point where the holes will be drilled, and drill them.

Now we need to minimize the sheet so that a cone is obtained. It is important to connect its edges correctly. You can overlap one another and fix them with rivets or bend and rivet the edges of the edges. In the upper part of the cone, it is necessary to provide a loop of wire through which the line will pass.

When the cone is ready, proceed to make the lid. We put the trough on paper and outline it. Next on the "pattern" of the bottom, you need to draw a loop for the lock. To do this, in any place of the resulting circle marker draw a small rounded protrusion. Transfer the drawing to the sheet and cut out the lid. Grind the edges to avoid further hooks on the line. Now in the lock loop, drill a hole 0.8-1 cm in diameter and clean its inner surface.

You need to think about how the lid will be attached to the bottom of the cone. Usually it has a one-point mount. To do this, in the cover on the opposite side of the loop again drill a small hole. The same operation is done with the bottom edge of the feeder. Then, using a winding ring or a conventional wire, fix the cover to the body.

The lid must be loaded with lead, for which we attach a load of 10-15 g to its outside with self-tapping screws or glue.

Lock for opening feeder

The lock for the trough-dumper is the most important element, therefore it needs not only to be correctly manufactured, but also to be adjusted.

From the thin steel wire we make the latch-antennae. To do this, its length of about 8 cm is bent in half in the form of the letter V. The line is tied to the top of our improvised lock and passes through the loop at the top of the cone. Done!

As you can see, the opening winter feeder for fishing with your own hands is made quite simply. Now it needs to be tested. Put any bait inside the cone, close the lid, insert the "antennae" into the hinge loop for 1/4 of the length, turn the trough and, holding it by the line, lower it into the water. When you reach the bottom, just make a sharp jerk with your hand up. In this case, the "mustache" slips out of the loop, the lid opens, unloading the bait. If the latch does not work or opened before the time, it must either be bent, or, on the contrary, it should be bent.
