There can be many reasons for this. The first thing suspicions fall on the video card, with it not without soil, because it is from it, through the cable signal passes to the monitor. But it is not always the case. When there is no signal on the monitor from the video card problems can be several.

The reasons for this problem are in fact very many, and to determine it, it can take a lot of time and effort. To begin with, you should analyze everything that happened to the personal computer in the near future, because when there is no signal on the monitor, this should have something to precede. Have you noticed the temperature fluctuations of the video card, and how did the cooler behave. Did the video card get pulled out (perhaps by inserting it back, you installed it not tightly). You should also know that the case may be not only in the video card, but also in other components of the personal computer. Before you start any tests, inspect the computer (all boards are meant : motherboard, video card, RAM slots). They may cause burns or blisters of condensers. In case everything looks whole, go directly to the problem search and think why there is no signal on the monitor.

First of all, you should inspect the power supply. If the video card has been replaced recently, it is worth making sure that the power supply capacity is sufficient to provide the video card with electricity, in such cases there is no signal to monitor and the cooler does not work. After deciding on the power supply, you need to go to RAM. If you have several memory slots in your computer, you should try to start each one separately. With the RAM finished, go to the motherboard. You need to pull out the video card and try to start the computer without it. If nothing happens, you can also pull out the RAM. The motherboard should start to panic and make various audible signals, during such tests there is no signal to the monitor, so do not pay attention to it. But this is not always a 100% indicator. It was the turn of the monitor. To check if it works, start the computer, turn on the speakers and wait for the operating system to start. If you hear a welcome sound, then it's in the monitor.

After all these tests, you need to move to more decisive measures. First we need a second, obviously working video card. If there is an old one - it's good, but if there is a friend ready to help you in the tests - that's also not bad. Now you just need to install the video card and wait for the results. With a huge probability of a working video card will allow the computer to start, but if the matter is in something else, then everything will remain the same as before. If there was a second option, then do not get upset, but we are one step closer to solving the problem. The truth is that it is hardly reasonable to do something by yourself, as a complete check of the personal computer is required, and for this it is better to turn to professionals.

And now consider the option, when it turned out that the video card does not work. Of course, it is wonderful if it is on a guarantee (before carrying it into the service, carefully examine for possible defects). Okay, well, if we took away the card and got a new one. But it happens that the computer has an old card, which at the moment, there is no possibility to change it, and it is inadvisable to carry repair for service. In such cases, you can try to do on your own and use such an unconventional method as warming up (or even roasting) the video card. In this article, I will not consider all the subtleties of this event, but I will say at once that this way you can extend the life of the video card for a period of two weeks to several years.
