The birth of religion entailed many additional terms, the use of which is peculiar only to this area. One of the terms that have found wide application was the word "pious".

God is the Lord, who is the crown of religious culture, and consequently - the supreme power, which, according to believers, has full authority. Thus, the devout is one who consciously believes in the Lord. The first mention of this word is found in ancient Slavonic writings. It is noteworthy that the word has not changed. The actual form of its existence fully corresponds to the ancient equivalent. The only differences are in writing, but they are explained by the fact that the grammar of the Slavic language differs significantly from the modern one.
