Why there are pains in the lower abdomen of a man

We tend to believe that a man should be able to tolerate pain, not pay attention to it, because this is, allegedly, the manifestation of masculinity. But, from the medical point of view, any pain is a signal about the pathology that has appeared in the body, so ignoring it is at least silly, and basically it's just dangerous.

The causes of pain in the lower abdomen of a man and a woman, as you know, a little different. And today we will try to figure out what causes these alarming symptoms in the stronger sex, and what diseases can be behind it.

How does the abdomen ache in men with cystitis and prostatitis

Most often in men, the pain in the lower abdomen is caused by diseases of the urinary system, for example, cystitis. It can be described as aching, pulling, intensifying with urination. At the same time, the frequency of trips to the toilet is also noticeably increasing. Occasionally, cystitis may be accompanied by a slight increase in temperature.

No less frequent cause of pain in the lower abdomen of a man is prostatitis. Pain in this disease is characterized as cutting and pulling, giving off in the groin and testicles. When urinating, the res are particularly pronounced. This disease is also accompanied by a weakening of the erection.

With prostate adenoma, dull pressing pain is caused by a delay in urine due to a strong narrowing of the urinary tract. This disease is accompanied by a noticeable increase in urges "in a small way", intensifying at night. In the severe stage there is a delay in urine and an erection disorder - this requires immediate hospitalization of the patient in the urological department.

When the varicocele, the veins of the testis and the spermatic cord, the pain manifests itself more often on the left, giving to the scrotum. In neglected cases it has a bursting character, the scrotum considerably increases and hangs, and the left testicle decreases noticeably. The convoluted veins are clearly contoured.

Stones in the kidneys or inflammation in them (pyelonephritis) are also accompanied by pain giving away in the groin, it is joined also by chills, fever, and often - nausea. Such pain appears suddenly, lasts from a couple of minutes to several days and requires a mandatory examination from a specialist.

Pain in the lower abdomen of a man with bowel disease and appendicitis

Various pathologies in the intestinal region can also cause painful sensations in the lower abdomen. This can be, for example, intestinal obstruction. If it was formed in the thick or small intestine, the pain is localized, mainly in the lower abdomen, characterized as a dull spastic. It is accompanied by a delay in defecation, while the urge for it remains intact. Non-treated obstruction causes general weakness, dizziness, nausea, fever and vomiting by calves.

Appendicitis is another reason that causes pain in men. The bottom of the abdomen, note, in this case starts to hurt not immediately. The first symptoms are painful sensations in the navel area, which, amplified, drop lower and are accompanied by fever and a single vomiting. Suspicions of appendicitis require urgent treatment for medical help!
