Which gas is better?

An impressive majority of drivers are wondering which gasoline is better on Russian roads from domestic brands developed according to the EURO-4 standard. However, it is worth to disappoint in advance all the participants: as stated in most forums and in various social networks (thanks to the huge number of tests and examinations), such gasoline is only suitable for EURO-3 (outdated), and not every manufacturer. The difference can only be felt between 95 and 98 fuels, while the product with the maximum octane rating for a gasoline engine is very rare at the gas stations of Russian cities and is expensive (the average price is just above thirty rubles). And in the remaining fuel stamps, often used for all cars, the difference is not so critical. Therefore, the question of which gasoline is better, 92 or 95, it is necessary to answer ambiguously.

Firstly, for cars (in most foreign cars), where the use of more dilute raw materials is contraindicated and the recommendation is inscribed with fuel AI-95, the difference with the use of AI-92 is not so noticeable. This bitter truth has the right to life only within the framework of domestic products. Diluted gasoline at Russian gas stations is almost not an octane number, often poor-quality manufacturers make 95 gasoline even worse, adding various additives that destroy the car from the inside.

Secondly, in comparison of two identical cars that are refueled at one gas station with Ai-92 and Ai-95 brands, the difference in performance is almost insignificant (if the TNC is checked). The only indicator in this case, which gasoline is better, can be precisely the price policy. On a cheaper 92-m you can save up to several hundred rubles a month, not more.

But do not forget about the repair of the car, which may become more frequent due to the use of "harmful" fuel. In general, you can see this by looking at the spark plugs, which, due to the poor quality of gasoline, can leave a film and a small deposit. But this will only lead to the fact that in the near future it will take another TO.

So how do you decide which gasoline is better, if all tests conducted show an insignificant difference between the two brands?

It is worth sticking to your own opinion and choosing for yourself a high-quality gas station, which in a certain city or region will have a large number of positive reviews.

The opportunity to ask for a certificate of fuel quality has not been canceled, but do not rejoice at the fact that you will be shown a paper where everything will be certified by the highest authorities. If in Russia they counterfeit gasoline, then the "indicator" on paper ...

It is best to conduct a survey of drivers who will help determine which gasoline is better to fill. This will at least help select one or two manufacturers that you can trust.

But do not forget that in winter the fuel composition should also vary due to large minuses on the thermometers. How in this case to determine which gas station went to the winter format, and which are poured and "bodily" gasoline?

Here, only the expertise of the selected fuel will help, since it will be very difficult to determine the difference from the external parameters. To do this, take a few drops, collect them in a container and take them to an independent laboratory.

Remember that the main indicator of the quality of gasoline will be the work of your car. Exhaust gases, speed on the road, the sound of the engine - all this will tell the owner about the correctness of his choice, so what gasoline is better, always decide the consumer, because only he is responsible for the safety of his car. And I want to ride my "iron horse" longer.
