What was good about the Kish-Mish restaurant and why was it closed?

Among all the capital's restaurants, those who are practically in the heart of Moscow are very popular. And to find there an institution with reasonable prices is very difficult. Teahouse "Kish-Mish", positioned as a restaurant, pleasantly surprised both the metropolitan residents and guests. For today the institution is closed. And many are wondering why this happened, because the teahouse was popular and loved by many.

Location

It was located "Kish-Mish" in the Central Administrative District of Moscow, on the Arbat. The place was chosen quite successfully, because here the patency of people is rather big. Therefore, it is not completely clear why the institution was closed, but the owners had their own reasons.

On Arbat was chosen quite a good location, because there were no similar restaurants nearby. So, the competition was almost absent. Parking by the restaurant is not too big, but it could fit everyone who came to their car to have a snack. Those who made their own way liked the convenient location - close to two metro stations: Arbatskaya and Smolenskaya.

Kitchen

Restaurant "Kish-Mish" (Moscow) specialized in oriental cuisine. At the same time, the main emphasis was on Uzbek dishes, which were in the assortment a lot. All cooks are masters of their craft. They cooked exclusively for special recipes. Veal shish kebab was very popular among visitors because it was cooked as it would have been cooked somewhere in the Caucasus.

In addition, samsa with cheese was loved even by those who had never before imagined such a dish. It is worth noting that many visited the tea-house "Kish-Mish" and for tea. His species was numerous. Everyone, even the most demanding visitor, could find for himself exactly that unique taste, to which he wanted to return again and again.

Features of the institution

"Kish-Mish" is a restaurant that does not work today. He had several "chips" at once, which were not typical for other teahouses.

  • First, there was food to take away. A rare institution of this type provides such services to its visitors.
  • Secondly, the visitors enjoyed the buffet. As a rule, tea-house does not have such an option. "Kish-Mish" also tried to meet its visitors, giving the opportunity to order a banquet with a buffet, so that guests feel comfortable and free.
  • Thirdly, that a rarity for metropolitan institutions, there were no Wi-Fi access points. The warm domestic atmosphere of the tea-house meant real communication. Why be distracted from the beautiful cuisine and interlocutors by flipping through the Internet on your mobile or tablet?
  • Fourth, visitors appreciated the hookah. Eastern culture means relaxation and rest. Smoking aromatic tobacco through a hookah for wonderful meals helps to fully relax. And the restaurant "Kish-Mish" was given such an opportunity.
  • The fifth, which pleased the visitors, was an extensive wine list. Well, what kind of Oriental cuisine does without fine wine? Not cheap "swill", namely "drink of the gods."

For all this, the tea-house was very appreciated by regular visitors.

Interior and atmosphere

The restaurant was designed in a rather peculiar style: wooden tables and chairs, small sofas covered with quilted blankets, not too bright light (rather, soft, relaxing), soft music with oriental slant. The staff is unobtrusive, but helpful and hospitable. Atmosphere reigned home, the visitors themselves involuntarily tried to speak in a low voice, so as not to disturb the comfort of others. Many noted that there were ideal romantic dates here - nothing distracts from each other.

Guest Reviews

Initially, when the tea-house "Kish-Mish" (Moscow) was opened, there was no release from people. All responded about it only in a positive way, passing the address to the familiar. Over time, the opinion of visitors began to change. Some began to note not very conscientious work of the staff, others - the shortcomings of the kitchen, the third - the work of the restaurant as a whole. For example, one of the visitors noted that in the shurpa (eastern soup) he had a glass shard. For a restaurant, this is unacceptable.

Why closed

Many regulars are still interested in this issue. Some put forward the theory that the restaurant was tortured by inspections of various instances and, as a result, the institution was closed. Others believe that the owners decided to change their activities, abandoning their offspring in favor of another cause. There are those who found the business unprofitable (taxes and rent were tortured).

In general, all these theories have the right to life. How many people - so many opinions exist about this or that institution. When the restaurant was working, there were always a lot of visitors in it - it's a fact. Some returned again and again because of the stunning cuisine, others - because of the atmosphere. Therefore, it is quite possible that the owners lost, refusing to continue the work of the tea-house "Kish-Mish" in the capital. This place was really popular and interesting.
