What is a link on the Internet and in the program "Word"?

With the concept of "link" Internet users have to meet every day. Its meaning each treats differently. In this article, we will describe what a link is, for which it is used.

The concept of a link on the Internet

We are all accustomed to clicking on a particular site object or suggestion to redirect us to another page or even a resource. What is a link? It is a tool for moving between sections of a site and directly between the Internet resources themselves. With it, search engines index new elements. The structure of the link (or hyperlink) is as follows: the URL (the address of the page where the move is made) and the anchor (the element by which the transition is created, can be in the form of a URL or image).

What is a link, we already know. It's time to find out what kinds they are. Texts of links can be divided into four categories:
1. Exact occurrence. The key word or phrase included in the anchor, and the text itself in the same form. Example: wooden table .
2. Query with the environment . The type of anchor in which a keyword or phrase is surrounded by a surrounding text (if it's an article or publication) and advertising, other links, interface elements, and so on. Example: How to buy a
wooden table in St. Petersburg.
3. Inquiry with dilution . In this type of anchor, the main key phrase is diluted with an additional clarifying word, which can also participate in the promotion. Example:
A wooden table in St. Petersburg .
4. Bessankorny text . Instead of the query text, neutral words ("here", "here") are used. Example: buy a wooden table
here .
In a broad sense, links can be divided into external (redirect to items that are outside your site) and internal (redirect to objects that are inside the site).

The concept of a link in Microsoft Word

What is a link in Word? When using a text editor , a similar question often arises. There are several ways in which a link to a website can be inserted into a document. Let us consider them in more detail.

Option 1

The easiest way is to copy the link from the Internet browser and just paste it into the document.

Option 2

1. We go to the program "Word" in the section "Insert". We find the item "Hyperlink" and click on it.
2. In the window that opens, we need to fill in two fields: "Text" and "Address". In the first we write the name of the link (for example "wooden table"), in the second we insert it itself.
3. Click "OK". Done!

Option 3

You can enter the link manually. That is, you can independently register it, starting with the letters http and so on, and press the Enter key. In the future, to such a link in the "Word" redirected to the specified site, you need to click on it with the left mouse button, while holding down the Crtl key. In the same way, you can do redirects within the computer. For example, in one text document, make a link to another text or picture. To do this, select the destination file instead of the address in the "Hyperlink" section that opens.

In this article, we examined what a link to a site is and a hyperlink in a text document.
