Vysotsky Museum on Taganka: history, halls, reviews

Vladimir Semenovich Vysotsky - a figure in art is ambiguous. People talked and wrote about him a lot, they made fame on his behalf. The life of the poet, composer and performer was not smooth. During the Soviet era, every line of Vysotsky's songs was subjected to strict censorship, but this did not prevent the distribution of his songs throughout the entire Union. From each window there were heard favorite melodies that were dangerous to listen to, but it was impossible not to listen. The Vysotsky Museum on Taganka is a reflection of the people's selfless love for their idol. It also traces the trend of the era.

Purpose of the museum

Vysotsky's house museum on Taganka is not just an exhibition of exhibits related to the life of a famous person. It is a cultural and scientific center in which research and the search for new facts reflecting the epoch and creativity of Vysotsky do not stop . Vladimir Semenovich was a reflection of all that was happening in the state, and he could not remain silent about what did not suit all patriots of the Motherland.

History of the Museum

About the creation of a memorable place, which will preserve the memory of Vysotsky, spoke immediately after his death. This was reflected not only by the artists of the theater where Vladimir Semyonovich worked, but also by connoisseurs of his talent, who send letters to relevant authorities.

In 1987, a charitable account was opened, which received funds from patrons and money for holding memorable evenings and conferences about the actor and performer. In 1988, a working group of twenty people was created, which included well-known people of our time.

To become the first director was awarded the honor of PM Leonov. The Vysotsky Museum on Taganka made its first action to the tenth anniversary of the poet's death. Exhibits, for lack of a separate building, were exhibited in the hall of the Soviet Cultural Foundation, and then at VDNH.

The center-museum of Vysotsky on Taganka was finally opened in 1992. At the head of it since 1996 is the son of the famous actor, poet, composer and performer, Nikita Vysotsky.

Halls of the museum

Within the walls of the museum are three halls, which have names on the lines of the author's songs. The whole exposition includes more than a thousand exhibits. The main collection was formed in 2000. During the work of the museum, eighteen books and albums were published, which tell of the life and work of Vysotsky.

The first hall: "I'm all in the light ..."

In this room are exhibits that reflect the scenic activities of Vysotsky. All the costumes in which the actor once acted, footage on television and other things related to creativity, are exhibited at the beginning of the exposition.

The second hall: "Its track"

In these walls Vysotsky appears homely and undisguised. Toys that came from childhood, letters and drafts of poetry reveal him as a person, and not as a lump of Soviet culture. It also contains records, collections of the author's works and memories of him, which were released between 1980 and 2000.

The third hall: Vladimir Vysotsky's cabinet

In this room the atmosphere of the poet's workplace from his apartment in Malaya Gruzinskaya was reconstructed, where he spent five years of his life (from 1975 to 1980). Modest furnishings from a mixture of homemade furniture and precious woods indicate the uniqueness and originality of the person who created it. This hall was opened in 2008.

Gallery of the museum

The Vysotsky Museum on Taganka has its own gallery, which bears the name of Sam Brook from Vladimir Semenovich's song "Marathon". Within the walls of this building there are exhibitions of young talented artists, both group and individual.

The gallery started its activity in 1997, and so far it has no analogues, since it functions on the basis of the museum, which is a great rarity. Now in this room there are exhibitions of representatives of art and photography.

Activities of the theater and concert hall

Vladimir Semenovich can not be imagined beyond the stage activities, so the location in the museum of the concert hall is justified. The room can accommodate one hundred and thirty people.

On the stage of this theater-concert hall are young talented performers with their own individual projects. In addition to the concert, there is a theatrical program. On the stage there are staged scenarios of Vysotsky and about him.

Museum Library

Since the Vysotsky Museum on Taganka is a cultural scientific center, it had a library, and in it - a reading room. It appeared in 1994 as a collection of scientific works. The library concentrates more than fifty thousand works on Vysotsky, archival materials of his relatives and friends about the poet. For fans of the creativity of the author is given the opportunity to get acquainted with all the works in the walls of the reading room.

The Vysotsky Museum not only shows exhibitions and conducts educational and scientific activities, but also invites its visitors to purchase records of the artist's songs and books about his work.
