Vsevolod Vishnevsky is a prose writer and optimist

In general, although they scold the Soviet government for all of us, who are not lazy, but this is our history, and we need to learn from it. But the time was truly heroic. How many truly great personalities and patriotic heroes were raised who were ready to give their lives at any moment! Of course, the country was rebuilt, there was a lot of horrible things, but there was a lot of positive things. That's about one such famous person - Vsevolod Vishnevsky - and we'll go further. This Soviet writer, playwright, prose writer and journalist created not one literary masterpiece.

Vsevolod Vishnevsky: biography. Family, childhood

The writer was born on December 8, 1900, not anywhere, but in a family of hereditary noblemen in St. Petersburg. It should be noted that his father, Vitaly Petrovich Vishnevsky, was a private land surveyor and a major engineer. My mother's name was Anna Alexandrovna (Golovacheva). Vsevolod studied at the St. Petersburg Gymnasium No. 1. His favorite subjects were Russian, history and geography.

In his school he at that time became the editor of the magazine "From under the desk". Since childhood he has taught himself to keep diaries (in the future this material has become very useful for his writings).

Publishing work

From the age of twelve he was familiar with the printing and publishing work, since there were two printing houses in the house in which they lived. He knew the workers, who often invited the boy to his place. Even his father dreamed of creating his own magazine, carrying out all preparatory operations at home.

Soon the First World War began, Russia was increasingly plunged into chaos. A young and hot fourteen-year-old teenager, Vsevolod Vishnevsky, could not stand it and ran away as a volunteer to the front to become a youngster of the Baltic Fleet. He was worthy of the whole war and became a senior in intelligence, he even managed to receive such awards as "George Cross" and two medals "For Courage".

Revolt and Revolution

He was not beaten by an armed uprising in Petrograd. The October Revolution began. He joined the Bolsheviks and immediately got to the front of the war. It is impossible to imagine how strong the ideology of socialism was, to go with bayonets against its own.

In 1918 Vishnevsky Vsevolod Vitalievich was enlisted as a fighter in the 1st coastal detachment. In 1919 he served as a machine gunner on the ship "Vanya-Communist" of the Volga Flotilla, then - a machine-gunner armored trains "Kommunar" and "Grozny."

Vishnevsky is a writer

His first writings he published in the newspaper "Red Black Sea Coast". After that, he begins his wide systematic creative activity.

He even began to speak in Moscow before the Soviet public, where he read his diary (the topic was devoted to service on the ship "Ocean", because even then he taught navigatorship).

The play "The First Horse" (1929) brought him national fame. Thanks to the work "We are from Kronstadt" he got into the big literature. Then there were other, equally famous masterpieces. Among them, special mention is made of such works as "Optimistic Tragedy" and "The Last Strong" (1933). By 1939, he had already worked as a military correspondent in the newspaper Pravda. Then (during the Great Patriotic War, from 1941 to 1942), he holds the post of editor of the journal Znamya. In recent years, he worked on the documentary epic "War." Vishnevsky died on February 28, 1951 in Moscow.

In 1936, according to the script Vishnevsky was shot the eponymous film "We are from Kronstadt" by director Yefim Dzigan. His popularity was simply deafening and comparable only to the "Chapayev" brothers Vasilievs. The picture was approved by many literary and director's critics (even S. Eisenstein, who shot the tape "Battleship Potemkin", noted that this film continued the epic style of Soviet cinema).

Vishnevsky is an opponent

As it turns out, few people know that Vishnevsky not only acted as a writer, but was also a pessimistic critic. Surprisingly, his opponents were for some reason Zoshchenko and Bulgakov.

Some literary publications point to the mention of Vishnevsky in the novel "Master and Margarita" in the image of Mstislav Lavrovich. So it or not, today history is silent. But the fact that he was absolutely intolerant of his peers was unequivocally proved.

Instead of the total

Of course, talk about the work of this unique in its kind of writer can be very long. It is worth noting that the "Optimistic Tragedy" has remained unclaimed. But any person of the past Soviet era can easily determine a picture showing even a short period of 1919 history, when a small contingent of sailors confronted the superior forces of Yudenich, besieging the then Petrograd.

But if you take into account the literature, Vsevolod Vishnevsky is seen in his role as a powerful author both in terms of the historian and in terms of journalism. It is no wonder, after all, he became an eyewitness of those events as early as his youth. And his subsequent views formed precisely on the basis of these experiences and beliefs.

But what is most interesting, Vsevolod Vishnevsky was a participant in military operations in Spain in 1936 and the so-called Soviet-Finnish war of 1939-1940. (Before the Great Patriotic War). At the same time, he did absolutely wrong, refusing to read a number of poems by Anna Akhmatova published in the journal Znamya, considering them to be inconsistent with Soviet reality and morality. He openly stated this in the publication of the Literaturnaya Gazeta of September 7, 1946. Was he right or not, not us to judge.

But the creativity and life of this literary unique still cause completely inadequate reactions both from ordinary readers and from the part of its adherents. But, as they say, history will judge.
