History

Vladivostok Commercial Sea Port from the first days of its foundation played an enormous role in the development of the Far Eastern regions of the country. It became the main distribution base. Through it, cargo flows passed to Kamchatka and Sakhalin. The enterprise has become the starting point of commercial vessels to other countries.

Vladivostok Commercial Sea Port is also the main Russian Far Eastern berth for ships arriving from other countries. It is from here that the Great Siberian Way begins. A corvette called "America" entered the bay. On board the ship was Nikolai Muravyov-Amursky. In 1860, he gave an order on the establishment of a port in the harbor of Vladivostok. Soon to execute the order, a military transport called Manjur entered the bay. As a result, Vladivostok outpost was founded. Soon it was declared a port with duty-free trade. This fact became an incentive for the active development of the enterprise.

In 1896, Nicholas II, the Russian emperor, approves the Regulation, which confirms the construction of a commercial port in the bay called Golden Horn in Vladivostok. In 1897, the construction of concrete massifs for the organization of berths. Three years later Vladivostok acquired features of the most modern port.
