Vernon Roche - in the service of the King

During his reign of Temeriya, King Foltest was more than once under the sights of his ill-wishers. Against him conspiracies were created and organized assassinations on several occasions. All this made him think about his personal bodyguard. And he found such a man, he became Vernon Roche - a reliable and faithful soldier, ready absolutely for any abomination for the sake of his king.

early years

About childhood and youth Vernon Roche has nothing special to say. But, according to the stories of his friend Bianchi, some information is still available. From an early age, he grew up in poverty, living in a brothel with his mother, who, in order to feed her son, worked as a prostitute.

He never saw his father, and somehow did not worry about it. He was more worried that because of this guy constantly teased peers, calling "bastard" (this word and still causes in him an attack of rage). All these events made Vernon realize that he should not wait for gifts from fate, so he decided to create his own destiny himself. And he began by enrolling in the army of the Temur.

Military service

He was serious about the service. Still, the spy was infinitely glad of this opportunity, and always believed that otherwise his life would have ended long ago in some ditch. During the service he had to do many things for his own kingdom. For example, he helped pacify the foothills of Makahama, and also participated in the capture of the Pontar valley. During the war with Nilfgard, Vernon was engaged in the liquidation of the elven gangs engaged in robbery in the forests of Temeria. Then he attracted the attention of King Foltest.

The ruler of Temeria decided that such a soldier would be more useful in other, more important missions that others could not cope with. And in a short time Vernon was appointed to command a special teper squad - "Blue Strips". This squad was created by King Foltest, but each of his members was personally chosen by Roche. There included: notorious thugs, professional spies, experienced warriors and scouts. And they were really reliable people, ready to take on any errands.

In his submission was secret agency, through which he opened many plots against the king. He was twice awarded the Order of Courage. And afterwards Vernon Rochet became the right hand of Foltest and one of the most influential people in Temeria.

Experience and principles of the character

It should be noted that success in his affairs Roche sought primarily through his training. He is an excellent fighter, a good fencer, he has skills of shooting from a crossbow, and with daggers in good relations. He is also strong, enduring and has a vein of a leader.

He constantly tries to achieve his goal, because, in his opinion, it always justifies the means. And, for this he is ready to go for anything. Nevertheless, it is fair, therefore, it is not in its rules to cut, burn and rob for no reason. He is simply a patriot of his country and is ready to serve her without question.

Enemy number 1

For all his career, Roche has got used to achieve everything he wanted. Possessing huge human and material resources, he could easily track down and destroy any target, anywhere in the world. Failure, he suffered, only to meet Yorvet - cruel and merciless elf.

He was never able to catch Vernon Rocher. Yorvet is his number one enemy. Both characters are found in the computer game "The Witcher", where Geralt will have to choose which side to take.

Vernon Roche - The Witcher 2

In the prologue Geralt is in prison, and Roshe is being interrogated. In the process, he can become a Witcher as an ally and an enemy.

The game begins with an attempt by the army of King Foltest to besiege the castle of La Valletta. They penetrate inside, but are attacked by a dragon. Saves all sorceress Triss Merigold, which stops the debris falling from the destroyed dragon tower, and she teleports.

In the quest "To the Sanctuary" the dragon again attacks the heroes. Now he is destroying the bridge, thereby dividing the detachment. Vernon Roche remains in one half, and the Witcher with Foltest on the other side of the bridge. Geralt, avoiding the flame of the dragon, takes the king to the shelter. How is Roche saved, it is not known, but he succeeds.

In the first chapter, Rochet goes with his detachment to Flotzam, a commercial settlement on the border of Temeria. There, his first unpleasant meeting with Yorvett takes place, but he can not catch the elf. In the end, the Witcher will have to support one of them. But in any case, Roche will appear in the second chapter.

Next time, the Witcher and Roche go to save King Kaedwen, Henselt. Only this is not enough, because the monarch has a curse, and Geralt decides to find out who is behind this.

The investigation leads him to Rosh. It turns out that all this was conceived long ago on the instructions of King Foltest. In the meantime, Henselt himself had already guessed everything, so he found and interrupted the entire detachment of "Blue Stripes." And when the characters find him, the player again has to choose - to dissuade Roche from the murder or let him do it.

The third chapter also did not do without Roshe. They come with Geralt to Lok Muinn - a town in the upper reaches of Pontar to meet King Radovid. From him they learn that Triss Merigold is in captivity with the Nilfgaards, and Anais is the daughter of Foltest, in the hands of the magician Detmold of Ban Arda.

The King of the Rede will offer the heroes to save Anais, and then transfer the girl to him. In this case, he will save Temeria, will take Roche to his service, and the Witcher will help to catch the killers of kings. Roshe such conditions are suitable, because in order to revenge the magician, he is ready for anything. But Geralt will doubt, he will want to save Triss. So you have to choose.

Vernon Roche - The Witcher 3

In "Wild Hunt" Vernon will appear in Nilfgaard, where he will be waited for by the partisan detachment of the Teper. There he will again meet Geralt and, no matter what choice he takes in the second part of the Witcher, Vernon Rocher will be glad to see him. He will tell you that he has been working on Radovit since then, but he does not like this union very much.

He also tells that Bianca got out of control and attacked the imperial soldiers. He asks to help him to release her, and then go to his camp. But Geralt, he too can be useful.

Vernon Roshe will also talk about the deal made with Nilfgaard, as a result of which Temeria will join the empire in exchange for Radovit's head. The Witcher can help here, too. And again there is a choice to make.
