In 1971, at the AvtoVAZ factories in Togliatti, the production of the VAZ 2101 Zhiguli car began. External differences

The car received an engine with improved performance, a cylinder capacity of 1300 liters and a power of 69 hp. Soon the car VAZ 21011 had a new name - "LADA 1300", under this brand the car was exported. Simultaneously, another modification was created - "police". This VAZ 21016, which was installed on the engine of the 2103 series. Power of the power plant of the car for the guards of the order was 77 hp, and these parameters were documented in accordance with GOST.

"Weber" or "Ozone"

All motors of the VAZ family were equipped with the simplest single-chamber Weber carburettor from 1971 to 1978, economical and efficient enough. Since 1979, more advanced carburetors of the Ozon brand have already been installed on cars, which had an autonomous idling.
