Therefore, the most popular drug in pharmacies is "Valocordin". Indications for use are not very wide - it is used mainly for calming and normalizing the functions of the nervous system. But since many diseases have a psychological cause, they drink it and with pain in the heart, stomach cramps and pressure jumps. This universal drug has a complex effect on the human body and has almost no contraindications and side effects.

The composition and action of the drug "Valocordin"

This medicine was created in the middle of the last century in Germany. Its unique action is based on the fact that it combines organically strong sedatives, used in medicine for many centuries.

1. "Phenobarbital" - an effective hypnotic drug. It is used as an anticonvulsant and relaxing remedy. Well dilates blood vessels, so it can be used for increased pressure, spasms and fear. In many countries, phenobarbital is considered a drug and is prohibited from use. But its small amount in the composition of the drug "Valocordin" produces only a positive effect.

2. Ethyl ester of isovaleric acid is obtained from a medicinal plant, so it retains all its useful properties. Like valerian, this substance has a calming, sleeping and spasmolytic effect. It is these two components that determine the action that the Valocordin medication has. Indications for use are mainly directed to the treatment of heart failure.

3. The composition of this drug also includes mint and hop oils, which have a soothing, vasodilating and antispasmodic effect. The combination of all these components creates the complex sedative effect that Valocordin has.

Indications for use of the drug

Elderly people drink this medicine for any pain in the heart, anxiety, fears and sleep disturbances. It has a mild effect and helps in many cases. In the instructions for use it is written that the medicine "Valocordin" (drops) is used for the following problems:

- sleep disorders and insomnia;

- neuroses, stress and anxiety;

- Some diseases of the cardiovascular system, for example, tachycardia;

- spasms of the coronary vessels and the initial stage of hypertension;

- gastrointestinal colic and intestinal spasms.

It should be borne in mind that the "Valocordin" does not treat the diseases themselves, but only calms and stops seizures. Therefore, if the recommended dose does not help you, you need to see a doctor and change the drug.

How to take "Valocordin"

Contraindications to the use of the drug include only violations of the liver and kidney and individual intolerance. It is also not recommended to use it during pregnancy and breastfeeding. But usually the drug is well tolerated and has no side effects when the recommended dose is observed. Even children in small amounts are prescribed a medicine "Valocordin". Indications for use in such cases should be serious, because it contains a drug that can be addictive.

Usually the drug takes 15-20 drops, diluted in a small amount of water. It is better to drink it before a meal to strengthen the effect of the drug. It is not recommended to take alcohol simultaneously with this medication and exceed the therapeutic dose. In some cases, up to 30 drops of the drug can be taken to increase the hypnotic effect.
