Uncoiling: device, types, application

Not so long ago, just a couple of years ago, in order to dilute the electric wiring in a residential building, there were 3 types of standard boxes. Today, taking into account the development of modern technologies, importers and manufacturers offer a large selection of such products.

Even in Soviet times, any soldering box contained special clamps for reliable fixation, and also had several options for attaching to the wall. Like most of the things produced then, it was done conscientiously and for centuries.

Today, on the sale separately, a soldering box and terminal blocks are offered. When choosing it, you must pay attention to the quality of the plastic from which it is made. If there is an unpleasant, sometimes scaly nose, it is better not to buy such a box, since at the first large load it will melt.

Clamping part

As already mentioned above, any hinged box contains special terminals, which directly have contact with wires connected to the box. They are made of different types of metals. In most cases, it is aluminum or copper. This fact must be taken into account when choosing a box. The metal from which the terminals are made must match the one from which the wiring is made indoors. If they do not coincide, electrochemical incompatibility arises, since each has its own characteristics. As a result, a reaction occurs leading to the formation of oxide on the wire surface, which can lead to a short circuit.

Features of electric clamping shoes

Not all clamping terminals, as you already could read above, are the same. Their main differences are the material used in their isolation, and the form. The material used in the production of insulating elements of clamping terminals for a product such as a hinged box can be polyethylene, polyamide, carbolide, etc. All of them differ in operating temperature and, accordingly, are used in different objects.

Types of terminal blocks

Not all terminal blocks available on the market are completely identical. Their main difference is the material used for insulation and the very form of clamping mechanisms. Materials often use polymers: polyethylene, polyamide, carbide, etc. All their differences are reduced to the ability to withstand different temperatures.

As a rule, polyethylene pads have a white color and are resistant to any type of exposure to aggressive media (solvent, water, salt, grease). This material is malleable, and without effort is cut with a knife.

The polyamide terminals, which have a soldered outer box, do not support combustion, thus eliminating the possibility of a fire. Can be used on any type of object.

Terminal blocks, which has a wiring box for open wiring, can also be spring-loaded. In such cases, it can be used in industrial facilities, since the maximum voltage that it can withstand is 600 volts.
