Ulcer perforation is dangerous!

It's no secret that the rhythm of modern life, which includes bad, irregular and irregular meals, constant and heavy stresses and attempts to remove them by "taking to the chest" lead to problems with the stomach. First it is a gastritis, to which most people, especially those who are not inclined to regular checks of their health, do not pay attention. Gastritis logically develops into an ulcer - at this stage the problems are so painful that they force you to go to the polyclinic. But in the case of a stable remission, people relax again and cease to follow dietary prescriptions, limit themselves to excesses and follow medical advice. And here they are trapped by a cunning beast - a perforated ulcer.

What is perforation?

A perforated ulcer, in principle - the final stage of the usual, whether it be a lesion of the stomach or intestines. In simple terms, perforation is eating the wall of the affected area of the intestine or stomach through and through. Through the resulting "hole" everything that you ate or drank, along with acidic gastric juice actually "falls through" in an unprotected abdominal cavity. And if we do not take urgent measures, we can say that a slow, unpleasant and painful death begins.

Causes of perforation

It is clear that the minimum condition for the appearance of a perforated ulcer is the presence of the most ulcerative disease, albeit well healed. But, sad as it may seem, peanuts need to be vigilant all their life, doubling it in the spring and autumn. The provoking factors for the aggravation and further sad development of a habitual illness is something from which physicians are as usual cautious. It can be said that perforation is tension (both in the sphere of emotions and in the sphere of relationships), busting with alcohol, overeating, and with the advantage of fatty, heavy, fried and spicy food - exactly what the attending physician tried to protect you from. Ironically, physical overstrain is also on the list of potential dangers, especially if you do not (pedantically!) Exercise and rarely participate in heavy physical work.

Signs of danger

In the very first moments a person with perforation faces unbearable pain. It appears from the fact that the delicate constituents of the peritoneum have collided with aggressive filling of the stomach or duodenum (food and stomach acids). In the first instants perforation is an acute, causing tears and twisting in an arch pain, not without reason called dagger, or knife. It is dangerous that as soon as it weakens (it creates the feeling that the entire abdomen hurts, but is much weaker), a person comes to the conclusion that he just had a ulcerative attack, and there is no need for a doctor. The process does not stop there. On decaying food, trapped inside the cavity, bacteria multiply, exacerbating the matter, which began perforation. This means that after a day the peritonitis is provided with peritonitis, which even in our times is overwhelmingly fatal. The abdomen becomes firm, the touching to it is very painful, the tongue is overdone, the pulse falls, the temperature rises. The closer to a peritonitis, the more obvious the signs.

Perforation of the intestine differs little from the perforation of the stomach. Unless the development of peritonitis will be slightly slower. But in the absence of qualified medical care, the result will be one - a slow and painful death. So, with the first suspicions that you may have perforation of the ulcer, regardless of which organ is affected by it (stomach or bowel), immediately call "ambulance". With timely intervention, the chances of life are very, very high.
