Types of production, factors of production and accidents at work

In the most general form, depending on the features of the technological process, the following types of production can be distinguished: processing and mining.

The extractive includes such types of productions, where extracting from the bowels of the earth natural raw materials. In such a production, there is no need to use raw materials and basic materials to produce the product. For most of the extractive industries, the following features are characteristic:

  • One redistribution;
  • Short production process;
  • Absence of semi-finished products (intermediate product) of own production, in these industries there is no work in progress or it is insignificant.

These types of production can produce relatively simple products and in a fairly large amount.

Processing industries turn agricultural and industrial raw materials into semi-finished products or finished products. At the enterprises of this group, mainly complex products are produced. As a rule, they always have a share of work in progress.

These types of production involve the processing of raw materials and materials by mechanical or chemical treatment.

The first method of processing raw materials includes enterprises, where finished products are obtained by mechanically assembling ready-made parts, assembly joints, assemblies. For example, the production of trade equipment, shoes, garments, various devices and instruments, and so on. These types of production are characterized by the complexity of the technological process, a large nomenclature of used components and other features.

The second method of processing raw materials includes enterprises in which the finished product is obtained after processing the raw materials in succession at separate stages, stages, phases. These stages are, in turn, technologically discontinuous, but interrelated. For example, the production of canned food, beer and so on.

Types of factors of production

In economic theory, there are different approaches to the division of factors of production into species. For example, Marxist theory distinguishes three factors: the subject, the means of labor and labor. Sometimes they are also grouped together, and the material and personal factors are singled out. The group of personal factors include the labor force, which represents the spiritual and physical abilities of a person used in the production of goods. To material factors include means and objects of labor, which together constitute the means of production.

The most recognized in economic science is the division of factors of production into three types: capital, labor and land. Also, one more factor of production - entrepreneurial abilities - is also singled out .

Types of accidents at work

Various accidents can occur in the workplace, that is, cases of damage to the health of workers that have occurred for a reason directly related to work. Depending on the circumstances, the nature of the accident, the severity of injuries, the types of accidents are:

  • Light, when the victims according to the classification of the Ministry of Health receive minor injuries and minor injuries;
  • Severe with severe injuries of the affected;
  • With fatal consequences, as a result of which workers received such health damage that caused death;
  • Group with the number of victims of two or more people;
  • Group with severe consequences, when more than two people were injured and severe health damage or harm caused the death of the employee.
