Turkish gold

Turkey's jewelry industry is one of the most developed in the world. The country is not included in the top list for the extraction of this raw material, but imports it for the production of ornaments intended for sale to tourists. The so-called "Turkish gold" (processed, not extracted in this country) is known for lower prices. This is explained by the possibilities of modern technologies, the developed sales market, sales at estimated prices, tied to quotations on the world stock exchange.

Turkish gold has a number of features. First of all, it is yellow, sometimes yellow-lemon. Many because of this shade consider it low-quality. Products from it, as a rule, differ very original design. Fantasy of Turkish jewelers is amazing. Stunning looks "drip gold", jewelry from which are delicate patterns. Also in Turkey, jewelry is made of pink, blue, white, green, lemon and lilac gold.

Turkish gold is often decorated with precious stones: diamonds, emeralds, rubies, sapphires, alexandrites, garnets, topaz, turquoise, onyx, amethyst and many others. In this case, the products are much cheaper than gold, for example, Russian. So is it worth it to trust its quality?

Gold is too soft metal, so that jewelry can be made from it, without adding impurities. In different countries, the ligation is carried out in its own way: in Russia, more copper is added, in Turkey - silver. Therefore, Russian gold has a reddish tint, and Turkish gold is yellow.

When buying jewelry in specialized stores at an adequate cost, you do not have to worry that you will get a fake. Problems usually arise when buying gold in the markets at low prices. As a rule, the ornaments offered there are of gold of 375 samples or of gilded silver. We must understand that quality jewelry and in Turkey are worth a lot. Therefore, when acquiring a gold product, ask - who is its manufacturer, what is the ligature (additives) used in production, and do not hesitate to ask the seller to weigh the product to know how much you pay per gram.

Turkish gold, the sample of which is determined by the percentage of ligature in it, is measured in the carat system. Gold is considered pure in 24 carats (99%). The most common sample is 14K (14 pieces of gold and 10 pieces of additional metals), it corresponds to 585 samples. Products from such an alloy are durable and are quite affordable prices. To be sure that you are acquiring gold, on which there is a real test (since it is often the case that there are stamps on which there is a stigma), it is necessary to know what official foreign tests look like.

Turkish gold can be bought at different prices and different quality. According to statistics, approximately 60% of gold products imported to Russia from Turkey contain much less precious metal than it should be, according to the sample. Therefore, you need to approach the choice of a place to purchase jewelry with a reasonable degree of caution.
