Treatment of scars

Scars can form on one or another part of the body due to some or other reasons. So, often skin defects remain after acne (acne). Such scars, as a rule, are present on the face, back. Defects of the skin can form and as a result of cuts. In addition to scars, spots can form on the skin. However, eliminating the latter is not so difficult. Treatment of scars, after burns especially, may present certain difficulties for the specialist. Serious defects appear on the spot of acne. For example, atrophic scars do not completely fill the entire cavity. As a result, depressions are formed. Of course, over time they will not be so noticeable, but the unevenness of the cover will still be obvious.

Treatment of scarring can be carried out today in various ways. At the same time it is necessary to say that some methods have a large number of contraindications, from some there comes only a temporary effect. But there are also methods that bring very tangible results that last for a long period.

Treatment of scars with laser is considered one of the most effective ways to get rid of skin defects. With the help of special equipment, deep skin resurfacing is carried out. However, it must be said that this treatment for scars should be carried out by a highly qualified specialist, since this work is very laborious. Careless actions can lead to even more noticeable defects. In addition, this procedure should be carried out exclusively in a stationary environment, where a patient is constantly monitored. This will avoid infection in small wounds that occur after the procedure.

Treatment of scars by this method involves the removal of several layers of skin. The depth of removal is determined by a specialist. In this case, the treatment of scars in this case involves several procedures, in order to affect the deep layers of the skin.

Another popular method to remove skin defects is collagen injections. This method allows to increase the volume of connective tissue that fills the cavity. When squeezing collagen into the scar, the defect size increases. In this case, the specialist performs its alignment throughout the skin level. As a result, the scar is smoothened.

As side effects, condensations may form, inflammation may appear, and the temperature may rise. These reactions indicate that the body rejects collagen. In order to avoid a negative reaction to the drug, the specialist performs a trial injection. Within three weeks, the patient's condition is monitored. After this time, it becomes clear whether injections are contraindicated or not.

It should, however, be noted that even if the injections of the drug were successful, then six months later it completely absorbed. Scars, respectively, become noticeable again, and injections must be repeated.

Another popular method of eliminating scars is cryosurgery. The procedures involve cold exposure to problem areas. It should be said that this method can be used only in the presence of shallow scars. Cryopiling is the freezing of the upper skin layers.

The procedure is painless, but after it is carried out, the skin reddens strongly enough. There is a peeling of several layers of epithelium. After healing the skin surface, experts recommend that the procedure be performed several more times. Cryosurgery can be carried out in a closed or open way.

It is recommended to perform this procedure in winter, since UV radiation is not desirable for sensitive skin.
