Formwork with own hands - a practical solution for the foundation

We all know that the construction of a house begins with the erection of a foundation. However, the latter will be almost impossible to construct, unless special constructions are made beforehand.

Decking, created by yourself, allows you to fill a quality foundation to the required dimensions. This type of construction is used very widely in construction when pouring concrete on large construction sites. The formwork panels, which are usually pre-made, are mainly made of wood, but they can also be made of plywood or metal.

In the course of planning, the formwork with its own hands is built on the site. The height of the panels depends on the height of the required foundation. Basically, the assembly of the frame used bars, nails, staples and screws. The structure should be strong, because when pouring concrete, it puts serious pressure on the box.

This construction can be not only for the foundation, also the formwork of the floors is performed by oneself, for example, when multi-storey construction is underway. The principle of installation differs from the foundation.

By the type of formwork, made by hand, can be removable or non-removable. As a rule, the demountable is removed immediately after the foundation has more or less settled and will gain strength. These panels can be used repeatedly when erecting grounds.

Fixed formwork is a construction that is assembled from individual elements. For this use boards of different widths, fasteners, bars. This method of building formwork is quite old, but to this day it is used in the construction of private and public buildings. Usually the construction is prepared by spans, which are needed in place and size of the foundation. The boards are attached to each other by means of bars, which are sewn with a screw or nail. To fix the formwork in place, use supports and expand the top with short boards. Slots, which are observed in the formwork panels, can be clogged with slats.

Collapsible and adjustable formwork

This type already has ready-made elements that are easy to assemble and disassemble, using as a template for a new foundation.

It is used for almost any reinforced concrete work. Decking, made by hand, is removed at a time when the solution begins to freeze. The principle of collection is similar to the previous version.

With the help of these formwork methods, it is possible to build a foundation of almost any complexity. The latter option will be convenient for those who are engaged in construction under the order. It will not be necessary to select boards every time and collect panels, it will be enough only to strengthen everything on the spot.
