Tranexan has a local and systemic hemostatic effect in conditions accompanied by increased amounts of fibrinolysin (platelet pathology, menorrhagia). The medication is able to suppress the formation of kinins and other active peptides involved in inflammatory and allergic processes. Thus, Tranexan has antitumor, anti-infective, anti-allergic and anti-inflammatory properties.

Excretion is carried out by the kidneys. If their function is impaired, cumulation (accumulation) of tranexamic acid can be noted . The drug penetrates through the blood-brain and placental barrier, evenly distributed in the tissues. Concentration lasts for seventeen hours. The maximum level of the drug in the plasma is noted after three hours after oral administration.

The drug "Tranexan" instruction allows to use as an antiallergic agent for allergic dermatitis, urticaria, eczema, skin rash provoked by toxins and drugs.

The medication is prescribed for stomatitis, laryngitis, pharyngitis, tonsillitis as an anti-inflammatory therapy.

The drug is also used for angioedema edema of a hereditary nature.

When strengthening fibrinolysin local character, from 1 to 1.5 g, three or four doses per day are recommended. With repeated bleeding from the nose - during the week for three doses of 1 g. With profuse bleeding (uterine) - for twelve to fourteen days, three doses of 1.5 grams each. When the local fibrinolysin is increased, 2-3 injections of 250-500 mg are administered, with a general increase every six to eight hours with a single dose of 15 mg / kg at a rate of 1ml / minute.

In cases of bladder surgery and prostatectomy, 1 g is injected during the intervention, followed by a gram every eight hours for three days. After this, they switch to taking the tablet form of the drug.

Patients with a clotting disorder before the extraction of the tooth are administered 10 mg / kg. After the extraction, tablets are prescribed.

In the presence of violations in the functions of the kidneys, it is necessary to recalculate the dosage in accordance with the level of creatinine.

Diarrhea, nausea, anorexia, vomiting, heartburn are noted on the part of the gastrointestinal tract.
