Three ways how to make a substrate in the "Word"

The program "Word" gives its users the opportunity to create a background for the document. Moreover, in its original form, the program has a number of templates that are most relevant. But the opportunity to create your own substrate remains exactly. Of course, there is some inconvenience - when adding a background on one sheet, it is duplicated to all the others. That is, you can not insert different substrates on separate sheets. In this case, you need to create a new document. However, there is a small trick about which will be told at the very end of the article.

So, let's consider how to make a substrate in the "Word". Three options will be disassembled below. The first is to insert a standard background. The second - in creating your own. And the third one will allow you to add different substrates in one document.

Add a standard substrate

How to make a substrate in the "Word" using standard tools for this?

And it's done quite simply. First of all you need to go to the "Design" tab ("Page layout"). In this tab, click on the "Background" button, which is located on the toolbar in the "Page Background" area.

After clicking on the button from the bottom a window will appear, in which you will be offered a choice of different kinds of substrates. As you can see, for better navigation they are divided into groups: "Statement of Limitation of Liability", "Secret" and "Urgent". You just need to select the necessary one and click on it with the left mouse button.

That's all. You learned how to make a substrate in the "Word" using the templates available for the program.

We make our own substrate

But what if you did not find the option you need in the list? Let's figure out how to make a backing in the "Vord" yourself.

You, like last time, you need to go to the "Design" tab and click on the "Substrate" button. Only this time in the drop-down menu you need to select the "Adjustable substrate" item.

The "Printable substrate" window will open. It will be used to set the background to be added. First, set the switch to "Picture" or "Text", depending on what you want to use.

If you decide to use a picture, then set the scale and use the "Select" button to pave the way to the picture.

If you use text, then you must first specify the language of the text to be entered, then enter the text itself, select its font, color and size. Also you can determine its position - horizontally or diagonally.

It remains only to press the OK button, and the substrate made by you will appear on the sheet. Now you know how to make a different substrate in the "Word" so that it does not look like any of the suggested ones.

Add different substrates on each sheet

Users often wonder how to make multiple substrates in the Word. Unsurprisingly: the developers simply did not provide such an opportunity. But there is a small trick about which we will now speak.

Instead of a substrate, you can insert different pictures on different sheets and make them translucent - so that they can not be distinguished from the substrates themselves. By the way, pictures can be found on the Internet.

So, firstly add a picture. To do this, go to the "Insert" tab and in the "Illustrations" area click on the button of the same name. Now in the "Explorer", specify the path to the picture and open it.

Click on the picture and go to the "Format" tab. There, click on the "Text Wrap" button and select "Behind Text" from the drop-down menu.

It remains only to make the picture gray and transparent. To do this, in the same tab, click on "Correction", and in the menu, select "Picture correction options". In the window to the right of the "Color scheme" group opposite the "Recolor" item, click the icon. In the drop-down list, select "Gray 25%, light background color 2".

That's all - the improvised substrate is ready.
