The radioactive person is one of the negative characters in the Marvel comic series. He is known mainly to fans of paper products of the company, and not to fans of films about superheroes.

Marvel Comics

Marvel is one of the largest American comic book companies. In our country has gained wide popularity due to a series of film screenings. The main characters of the films were Spider-Man, Hulk, Daredevil, Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, X-Men and some others.

But our article will not be devoted to superheroes, but to one of their opponents, known as the Radioactive Man. Marvel Comics created a single fictional universe, in which all the created heroes and villains live, calling it Earth-616. It was in this world that our character was born.

Appearance

The real name of the Radioactive person is Chen Lu. Initially, he lived in China, where he investigated the effect of radiation on people. In the life of the scientist, everything was calm until the army officials asked him to create a suit that would help to defeat Tor. Lu started to develop, but not for the government, but in order to get incredible power. That's why he began to experiment with himself. The result of these experiments was the appearance of a villain, who became known as a Radioactive Man.

As soon as Chen had superpowers, he went to fight with Thor in New York. In the first battle, Lu won, having subordinated to himself the mind of Thor. But at the second meeting, the god of thunder managed to create a tornado and send the villain back to his homeland. When Chen arrived in China, there was a powerful explosion, and he was deemed dead.

The Avengers

The radioactive person became one of the main opponents of the Avengers, joining the League of Masters of Evil. The team led by Baron Zemo, and then Ultrone, tried to capture New York twice. However, the Avengers managed to rebuff the villains and not allowed to realize their treacherous plan.

The radioactive person had to flee. So he gets to Vietnam, where, together with the Titan man and the Red Dynamo, he creates the Titanic Three. Members of this organization decided to end crime and take the path of correction, fighting on the side of good.

The Avengers accidentally end up in Vietnam, and one of the local criminals, Slasher, decides that they came by his soul. By cunning he managed to attract the Titanic Troika to his side and force him to fight the Avengers. However, during the battle, Slasher was frightened and tried to escape, leaving all the loot. After that, the Titanic Three caught it and gave it to the Avengers. Later, the organization disintegrated for unknown reasons, and all its participants went their own way.

Chen returned to New York. Here he found the Egghead, wishing to revive the Masters of Evil, and offered to join the team. Lou agreed. Together, they tried again to defeat the Avengers, but suffered another failure.

Against the Iron Man

A radioactive person is a fictional character, however his actions, thoughts and desires are depicted as realistically as possible. And after another failure Chen returns to China, where he decides to take revenge on his enemies. To this end, he begins to work for Mandarin and takes an active part in the fight against the Iron Man (Tony Stark), preventing villains from transporting equipment and weapons.

During the battle of the Radioactive Man with Stark, they are both trapped in prison. Shortly before this, a prisoner escaped from there, and the guard system of the correctional facility was activated. Now, to escape, the hero and villain had to act together. However, it was hard for the Iron Man to convince Chen to work together. As a result, they managed to shut down the deadly reactor located in the bowels of the prison, to free themselves and even stop the escape.

But this joint work did not reconcile the Radioactive Man and Stark. After a while, Chen tried to destroy Stark International, disconnecting it. Enormous efforts cost the Iron Man to overcome the eternal enemy and prevent the collapse of his company.

Homecoming and Transfiguration

A radioactive person in comics is not only a villain, but also a scientist. Therefore, Chen Lu investigated how exactly the radiation changed it and what action it did after that. Thanks to a long self-analysis, he managed to understand that the fluctuations of radioactive emissions, which he constantly feels, strongly affect his emotions. Hence his desire to conquer the world, to inflict harm on people, selfish desires and impulses. Realizing that all this time he just blindly obeyed the swings of his mood, Chen returns to China. Here he decides to atone for his guilt, becoming a people's hero. To do this, he makes a list of all those who somehow suffered from his hands. This "Account", which the hero put up to himself, he has to pay.

At the same time, several representatives of Atlantis, calling themselves the Phantom Five, attack China. Chen understands that alone will not defeat the enemy, so he appeals for help to the team of superheroes Thunderers. Thanks to this help, it is possible to cope with the Sea People. After the victory, Lou joins the Thunderbolts.

However, Chen did not stay long with them. He was soon expelled for infecting the radiation of one of the participants in the Phantom Five. Returning to Atlantis, the infected begins to emit harmful waves. After the infection was discovered, Chen refuses to consume radiation and believes that he has the right to avenge the damage caused to his country. Only a reminder of the compiled "Account" compels the Radioactive person to save the Atlanteans from the terrible death.

After leaving the Thunderbolts, Chen returns to his homeland.

Another Radioactive person

There is another character with the same abilities as Lou. He comes from Russia and his name is Igor Stanchek. He appeared in the comics about the Black Panther, where he acted as a mercenary who invaded the kingdom of Wakanda.

Despite their similarity, Stanczek and Chen have nothing in common and are not even familiar.

Abilities

A radioactive person is a fictional character from the Marvel Comics universe. Therefore, it is not surprising that he has inhuman abilities, among which the following deserve special attention:

• Control of radiation - Chen can increase and lower the level of radiation emitted by his body. Due to this ability, he can deprive the forces of other characters by exposing them.
• Hypnotic trans - radioactive radiation affects the human mind, subordinating it to Chen's will.
• Shooting with energy - emitting radioactive waves in various ways, Lu can create energy clots and "shoot" them. In addition, it can create flashes of blinding light.
• Electromagnetic radiation - Chen can affect radiation on others, causing disorientation, headaches and hostility to other people.
• Creation of a force field - with the help of radiation, Lu creates around himself a protective field that protects him from most of the attacks, including from Myelnir, Thor's hammer.
• A huge physical force - radioactive energy, penetrating the body of a scientist, gives him incredible physical power.

Weaknesses

Not only by strength, but also by a number of weaknesses, is the Radioactive Man ("Marvel" is the creators of this character). He can not control the strength of the radiation emitted by his body, he is only able to muffle her by wearing a protective suit. The intensity of radiation also affects the emotions of Chen Lu, which because of this he is very difficult to control.

Radioactive person in the "Simpsons"

In the animated series "The Simpsons" there is a series of comic books, the main character of which was called Radioactive Man.

The story of this character is simple. He was an ordinary man, until one day one of his pants caught hold of the barbed wire of the fence surrounding the nuclear test site. At that moment, an explosion occurred, but instead of dying from radiation, our hero acquired wonderful abilities and became a radioactive person. But unlike the hero "Marvel", he took the side of good, devoting his life to fighting against evil.
