Description

Lesoparkovaya zone officially belongs to the architectural garden and park facilities of the city since 1979. Its area is more than 300 hectares. It is divided into several sections: the Kuskovo estate of the 18th century and the forest park itself, where tropical plants grow.

Pride and at the same time a landmark is the residence of the Sheremetyev family (Kuskovo Estate). The count received this piece of land from his father and so he spoke of it - "piece", hence the name of the estate. Since that time, an architectural ensemble with numerous sculptures, stone statues in the form of lions, Roman gods and heroes, as well as manicured lawns and a wonderful pond has been perfectly preserved here.

At the manor there is a temple of the All-Merciful Savior. Near the bell tower erected a pointed building, reminiscent of the Peter and Paul Fortress with an angel on the roof. The palace attracts the attention of the audience in the Baroque style, decorated with an intriguing monogram. Next to it, a small Dutch house is erected, admiring the interior.

The Kuskovo Park is a flat flat area. The pond divides the greenery and the residence of Count Sheremetyev. The territory is surrounded by benches, asphalted paths, well-groomed alleys with flowering bushes.

The plant world of the park is diverse and rich. Basically here, birch forests intersect with maple, pine, linden, aspen, Maha bird cherry and larch. Lime and oak breeds with various herbs also grow on this land. Dominant on the ground dandelion, pike, gravel, urban, zhiznachka creeping and buttercup golden.

From local plants you can find hazel, kalina, raspberry bushes, as well as small ash trees. Of the representatives of the flora that are untypical for this region, one can mention kumaniku, yarrow, cotoneaster brilliant, snow white berry, barberry Tunberga and hawthorn. Also, the Kuskovsky Park is replete with coniferous trees, such as western thujas, Siberian larch and spruce spruce.

In addition to unique vegetation, the area is occupied by a fauna: squirrels, ducks, frogs, small birds, owls and woodpeckers. People flock here to ride horses and ponies (on weekends, for a fee), and there are also many bike paths. There is a rental of bicycles in the Kuskovo park, and anyone can rent a vehicle and take a walk in the natural-garden area. In winter, you can ski and sleigh, build snowmen and enjoy the magnificent scenery.

On your own car you need to move along the Moscow Ring Road, along the street of Youth, park your car near the Palace Entrance.

Public transport: we reach the metro station "Ryazansky pr.", Change to the bus - №№ 133, 208. We leave at the stop "Kuskovo museum". All drivers know this place.

Operating time and cost of entry

In summer (April-October), the residence receives guests from 10 am to 6 pm. In the winter - from 10 to 16. Weekend - Monday, Tuesday. Free Kuskovsky park is open once a month - on the third Sunday (decree of the Department of Culture). The rest of the days the complex ticket costs at least 300 rubles.
