Location

There is Belosarayskaya spit in the Donetsk region in the south. The distance to Donetsk is 145 km, and to the city of Mariupol - and altogether 30 km. Belosarayka as it continues the village of Melekino, and there is no clear border between them. It is possible to get to the spit from the Mariupol route (the second descent), and from Urzuf, turning on the index. Minus - there is no direct rail service to Belosarayka. But buses and minibuses go there practically from all cities of the region.

Historical reference

Then the city gradually decays. The Greeks of the Azov Sea are resettling these lands. Now Belosarayka is a fishing village and basically a resort village. Nature Reserve of Ukraine

What else is famous for the Belosarayskaya spit? Rest - yes, but not only! This is also a nature reserve, which was founded in 1980 (decree of the Council of Ministers of the Ukrainian SSR). It covers an area of 616 hectares. Here grows a great variety of plants, including those listed in the Red Book, that is, rare, disappearing. Many species are birds and wild animals, insects and arachnids. In the coastal waters rich in fish, there is a goby, pike perch, flounder, pelengas. Flora and fauna are diverse and amaze with their splendor and originality. The colony of seagulls and cormorants in the ornithological sanctuary on Belosarayka (organized in 1995), as well as the white herons in the estuary deserves special attention. There is also a landscape park "Meotida".

On the spit there are solonchaks, limans, small lakes. In winter they are flooded with water, in summer they dry up and overgrown with thick grass. Belosarayku with the mainland is joined by narrow isthmus, shell and sand deposits, which are fringed by the rough sea from the sea. The age of the braid is more than a thousand years old.
