The novel did not reveal the image of Andrei Stoltz to the degree conceived by Ivan Aleksandrovich Goncharov. The author of this article considers this to be natural. After all, the classic depicted in these characters two extremes. The first is a useless dream, and the second is a pragmatic non-spiritual activity.
