Due to its unique composition, thyme has found its application in many fields: cosmetology, dietology, medicine and cooking. But the most pronounced properties of thyme in tea. It is thanks to the technique of brewing that the ethers included in its composition are released and bring maximum benefit. In addition to essential oils, thyme contains vitamin A and B, folic and ascorbic acids, selenium, iron, phosphorus, potassium, calcium, sodium, copper and manganese. And, of course, phenolic compounds: thymol and carvacrol.

The influence of thyme on the human body

Tea with thyme, useful properties of which it is difficult to overestimate, has extremely positive effects on the human body. Perhaps, there is not a single system in our body that does not need preventive or curative measures, where the main role would be assigned to the grass in question. As for the external use, thyme is used to treat skin diseases, infections, violation of the integrity of the skin, because it has a strong disinfectant and bactericidal effects. Bronchitis, colds, pneumonia and other pathologies of the respiratory system treats tea with thyme. Its useful properties consist in liquefaction and excretion of accumulated mucus. The expectorant effect is due to the high concentration of essential oils. The benefits of tea with thyme and colds are obvious: as a natural antiseptic, the herb treats sore throat, laryngitis, pharyngitis, tonsillitis, and also sinusitis and runny nose.

Thymus for immunity

To strengthen the immune system, it is also recommended to drink freshly brewed tea with thyme. Useful properties of this herb can be strengthened by the addition of other, no less useful components. To prepare the drink you need dry or fresh raw materials: thyme, cranberries and St. John's wort in equal quantities. All the components need to be folded into the brewer and pour boiling water, cover and cover with a towel. After 15 minutes, tea is ready: you can drink it with honey, from this, its healing qualities will only improve.

Thymus for men's health

Due to an incorrect lifestyle, fatigue and stress, even fairly young men face such problems as early ejaculation, sexual weakness, prostatitis and even impotence. How to brew tea with thyme

The process of brewing is nothing special. To prepare this drink you need a brewer, boiling water and thyme itself. The brewer is better to take ceramic, with thick walls. It must be doused with boiling water so that it heats up from the inside. Then put in it the brewing of black or green tea and thyme (fresh or dry) and pour steep boiling water. Kettle should be covered with a towel or put a knitted hat on it and leave for 15 minutes. As a result, we get an incredibly aromatic and flavorful tea. It is not recommended to add sugar or a substitute: you can enhance the taste and healing properties of this drink with natural honey. Thymus is well combined with other herbs and berries, for example, chamomile, mint and oregano, raspberries, cranberries and kalina. As for compatibility with tea varieties, thyme can be brewed with both green and black product. In summer, tea from thyme can be drunk cold, adding a lemon slice: it perfectly tones and quenches thirst.

Contraindications

Thyme refers to those herbs that have no contraindications even with frequent use. On its basis make children's medicines, tea with thyme is recommended to drink pregnant and lactating women, it is unusually useful with weakened organism after the transferred diseases. Thymus does not affect the central nervous system and is therefore not forbidden to people working in the production and management of transport. Even for the youngest children, tea with thyme will only be useful.
