Talakan - the airport in Yakutia

Talakan is an airport located in Yakutia. It is named so because it was built specifically for the needs of the Talakanskoye oil and gas condensate field. That is why this airport was created not with state money, but with private investments of Surgutneftegaz. This situation is unique. After all, the recoupment of such large-scale projects is not less than a century. Therefore, until this moment, only the government invested in the construction of airports.

Talakan is located just 112 km from the village of Vitim. The airport address is as follows: Republic of Sakha, Talakan. The index is 678150. There are several ways to get to the airport:

• By bus;
• by taxi;
• On your own car.

Opening

Today, Talakan is an airport, which is the only private investment project of its kind. No budgetary funds were allocated for its construction. To create this project, Surgutneftegaz invested about 15,000,000,000 rubles.

The first technical flight here was adopted in November 2012. It was performed by UTair. The plane Tu- 154M landed on the runway . Since then, the airfield is considered to be open.

Today, the management of the entire airport complex is managed by the company "Airport-Surgut".

The official opening of Talakan was solemn. It was attended by the President of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) E. Borisov, as well as the deputy representation of the Federation Council V. Shtyrov and, of course, the general director of the company "Surgutneftegaz" V. Bogdanov.

As early as December 2012, the TU-154 aircraft with passengers landed at the airport. They were 166 people who came to work on the field on a rotational basis.

All timetable of Talakan airport is 10 flights. All of them take off during the day. The routes are as follows:

• Krasnoyarsk;
• Ufa;
• Peaceful;
• Irkutsk;
• Novosibirsk;
• Surgut;
• Lensk;
• Ust-Kut;
• Moscow;
• Noyabrsk.

From Surgut, Lensk, Ust-Kut there are rotational flights. It is on these planes arrive workers.

These flights are made by the companies "Alrosa", "UTair" and "Angara". Now the airport management is working on attracting new carriers that will fly to other parts of Russia. This will favorably affect the development of the regional route network.

The total capacity of the airport is about 200 passengers per hour. At the moment, only 1/3 of this maximum is used.

Runways

Talakan - airport (photo confirms this) with just one runway. It has an area of 3100 meters and a width of 42 meters. These dimensions allow the aerodrome to receive such aircraft as:

• Airbus A320;
• An-24;
• Tu-154;
• An-26;
• Tu-134;
• Boeing 737;
• Bombardier CRJ 100/200;
• And other aircraft of a lighter class.

In addition, this runway is designed for the reception of all types of helicopters.

It is made of reinforced concrete of high quality.

Infrastructure

In connection with the fact that Talakan is an airport rather small, the infrastructure inside the terminal is poorly developed. True, investment in the development of this side continues. Therefore, in the near future is very likely a favorable outlook. Now on the territory of the air terminal there are:

• Trading kiosks;
• the shops;
• a cafe;
• Compartment for storing luggage;
• ATM;
• Parking for cars.

There is no hotel on the territory of the complex. The nearest one is located 150 km from Talakan. This situation is not critical, since there are no connecting flights. And the airport is used by either residents of the region, or workers who come to work for oil and gas fields.

Talakan is an airport that radically changed the level of availability of this part of Siberia. And these are completely new opportunities in developing the natural resources of this region.
