Tablets 'Clion'

Tablets "Clion" have an international better known name - "Metronidazole". This dosage form is one. Tablets are available in white, slightly flat, chamfered and incised on one side. The composition of the drug is directly itself metronidazole and other constituents: talcum, starch, glycerol, silicon, magnesium stearate. The medicine belongs to the group of antibacterial agents.

"Metronidazole" has a broad spectrum of antibacterial action. It enters the microorganism through passive diffusion. Once in the center of a bacterial cell, the nitro group becomes hydroxylomine, an active cytotoxic metabolite is formed, which in turn disrupts DNA replication, leading to cell death.

Tablets "Clion" are very effective in case a person has been infected with some protozoa, anaerobic and obligate microorganisms. It perfectly copes with bacteria such as gram-positive rods, gram-positive cocci, gram-negative rods, the preparation perfectly fights with facultative anaerobes and with some spirochetes.

In the process of oral administration, the components that have the "Clion" tablets are perfectly absorbed. Approximately three hours later, their maximum concentration is observed in the serum. As studies have shown on patients and healthy people, "Metronidazole" quickly penetrates into the cerebrospinal fluid, and also quickly reaches therapeutic concentration in the brain and lungs. The drug has a large volume of distribution and is almost 20% able to contact blood proteins. The drug penetrates into the bile ducts, and there are attained the same concentrations as the composition of the blood plasma.

Approximately 70% through the kidneys, 15% through the intestine, the release period is about 8 hours, thus, the drug "Clion" is withdrawn. Instructions for use contain a list of diseases and infections when this drug is prescribed: urogenital trichomoniasis, intestinal and intestinal amebiasis, ulcerative stomatitis, the presence of rosacea, diarrhea and other infections that are sensitive to this drug. In addition, the "Clion" tablets are prescribed as a preventive measure against anaerobic complications that may occur after gynecological operations, on the large intestine and bile ducts.

The drug "Clion" instruction advises to take during or after meals, you do not need to chew while drinking it, just drink a little water.

There are some side effects from taking the medicine. Quite often there are some violations in the work of the gastrointestinal tract. It can be nausea, loss of appetite, vomiting, weak pain in the lower abdomen, after a long reception, there may be a metallic taste in the mouth and plaque in the tongue. There are also side effects from the hematopoietic system - leukopenia, from the nervous system: sensation of numbness of the hands or feet, convulsions, headache, dizziness, drowsiness, fogging of consciousness, ataxia. The effect of the drug on the body can be in the form of an allergic reaction: itching of the skin, swelling, with individual intolerance may cause anaphylactic shock. Very rarely observed such phenomena as darkening of urine, a slight increase in temperature. All of the above phenomena go away very quickly with a decrease in dosage or after the completion of the course of treatment.

As for contraindications for taking this medication, this is a hypersensibility directly to the drug itself and its components, it is also forbidden to take "Klion" in the first trimester of pregnancy and during lactation.

An important point is the fact that during the treatment is strictly prohibited the use of alcoholic beverages. This can lead to serious complications and side effects.
