Syntactic analysis

Syntactic parsing of a sentence, whether simple or complex, is usually not an easy task when analyzing a text. Syntactic analysis is the grammatical characteristic of syntactic units, namely, word combinations, simple and complex sentences.

Syntactic analysis of the phrase

First, select the word combination from the text, secondly, in the selected phrase, determine the main and dependent word from it, find out the method of syntactic connection and do not forget to indicate through which parts of speech the main and dependent words are expressed. Third, indicate the grammatical meaning of the phrase.

Analysis of the members of the proposal

The analysis of the syntactic structure of the members requires extensive knowledge of Russian language and mindfulness. In order to perform the analysis without errors, it is advisable to follow the plan below:

1. First, determine the type of offer. Install, simple or complex.

2. Look at the structure of the sentence: one-part or two-part. Often confused one-part structures with incomplete two-part structures. In one-part sentences, there is usually no subject, in the incomplete two-part sentence there may be no principal member. In addition, in the text, the subject can be distinguished from the subordinate clause, or some other, related in meaning to the single-member sentence .

3. Then indicate the prevalence or non-prevalence.

4. Note whether this sentence is complicated: introductory words, homogeneous terms, addresses, etc.

5. Analyze the members of the sentence, explain what parts of speech words are expressed.

6. Determine how the punctuation marks are arranged. Given the presence of homogeneous members in a sentence, it is necessary to determine their part of speech and to what word they refer, and also how they are related in the sentence.

7. If there are isolated members in the sentence, then it is necessary to find out through which member of the proposal a separate turn is expressed, and then to disassemble its structure.

8. Be sure to indicate whether there is a direct speech in the sentence.

Analysis of a complex sentence

To begin with, determine what type of compound sentence: compound, complex or uncomplicated.
