Sweet and healthy yellow raspberries

Few gardeners can boast of having on their site such a wonder-bush, like a yellow raspberry. This plant gained fame at the beginning of the last century, breeders and just lovers of this berry grew a large number of varieties. Among them there was both light yellow and yellow-orange raspberries. Over the past hundred years, the shrub has not been widely spread, although its berries have a wonderful taste, and the plant itself is unassuming in cultivation and withstands the harshest winters.

Raspberry yellow patch differs from red not only by the color of berries, but also by taste qualities, biochemical composition. Its fruits contain a lot of sugars and a small amount of acids, so they are very tender and sweet. Low amounts of anthocyanins make berries useful for allergy sufferers, children and pregnant women. The fruits contain vitamin B9 and folic acid, these components accelerate the metabolism and synthesis of compounds.

Yellow raspberries have not so many varieties, the most famous of them: Bezglinka, Yellow giant, Cornish Victoria, Amber, Spirina white. All of them differ in the coloring of the fruit and the maturation period. From yellow raspberries are obtained delicious with a very beautiful golden color of jam and jams. Children are happy to taste sweet berries, which also mature gradually, allowing you to prolong the pleasure.

Yellow raspberry refers to frost-resistant plants, but it does not tolerate drought, it is also undesirable to plant it in open areas where it is not protected from the wind. This berry culture initially grew in forests, where moisture is always stored, and the soil is nutritious and friable. If the top layer of the earth dries up, the plant stops fruiting and growing, as the surface root system does not reach the water. Therefore, we must try to create houses that are most similar to the natural environment of growing conditions of shrubs.

In all well-lit, drained, soiled and not over-moistened soils, yellow raspberry can grow. The photo of the fruit of this shrub makes many gardeners buy such a beautiful plant. Although it is not common in our country, no one has regretted buying such a raspberry variety. Before planting, the ground must be loosened up, manure, peat, sand added. The distance between the rows should be about 2 m, and in the row the bushes are planted every 80 cm. Raspberry should be tied immediately to stakes or poles.

Care of the bush practically does not differ from the care for ordinary red and black-berry varieties. Yellow raspberries require regular watering in the summer during severe droughts. To prevent moisture for longer, it is necessary to mulch the planting, and the introduction of hydrogel under the bush will also help. As fertilizer, you can use ash, manure, lime or infusion of weeds. Raspberries are very fond of nitrogen, so the soil should be kept moist if possible, and in the beginning of summer it is recommended to fill it with slurry or infusion of weeds, then the harvest will please more than one year.
