Sulfur ointment from mange

Sera Ointment is a classic method of treating scabies. Despite the fact that scabies are a disease of people who lead an antisocial lifestyle, today it is very common and is increasingly found among people who lead a normal lifestyle. Scabies are also found in children's groups and are treated, as a rule, very difficult and long. The disease is transmitted and sexually, which is proved by the frequent combination of scabies with various venereal diseases. In addition to sulfuric ointment, the ointment from scabies "Benzo" is also very popular, but in this article it will be about the first, the method of its application, indications and contraindications.

Sulfur ointment from scabies is produced in Russia, and, as you might guess, the main active ingredient is sulfur. The drug is produced in the form of a gray ointment (33% for adults, from 5% to 10% for children). It was created specifically to treat parasitic skin diseases. After applying sulfuric ointment on the skin, sulfur reacts with certain organic substances. As a result of this process, sulphides and pentathic acid are formed, which has an antiparasitic and antimicrobial effect.

A sulfuric ointment against scabies can be applied in two ways. According to the first, the ointment is rubbed for five days at night. To rub a consistence follows 10 minutes in a skin of all body, except for a head and the face. With special diligence, you need to rub the ointment in the places where the rashes (wrists, hands, stomach and elbows) are most likely to appear. A day after the last application of the ointment, you need to wash the whole body with soap, change bed and underwear, everyday clothes. The ointment is rubbed before the appearance of heat and remains at night. In the morning, the entire ointment is washed off the skin and applied again in the evening.

The second method is more complicated and takes more time. On the first day, ointment is processed with the subsequent use of clean linen. The second and third day, the remains of the ointment are not washed off the skin, but a new ointment is not rubbed into it. On the fourth day you need to wash with soap and rub the remaining ointment again, as on the first day, with the same change of all the laundry. After the treatment, the hands should be washed only after three hours and treated with ointment after each wash. Rinse the sulfuric ointment from scabies from the skin is necessary on the fifth day of treatment. In places where the skin is more tender, the ointment is rubbed gently.

Note that there may be some side effects, the most common of which are various allergic reactions. In addition, the skin can peel off. Contraindication to use - individual intolerance of the drug and some skin diseases. This ointment from scabies is not suitable for treating children with chronic skin diseases and children under six years old.

During the treatment of the patient and family members must understand that it will be effective only if all personal belongings and pest control rooms are separated.

People who had to deal with treatment with this drug note that sulfuric ointment from scabies has its advantages and disadvantages. The main advantage is a low price and the ability to use sulfur in cases where other drugs from scabies are powerless or ineffective. Disadvantages: five-day therapy, the inability to apply ointment on the face, and also with some existing infections. Many believe that the treatment with ointment is very problematic: you can not wash yourself, the sharp smell of sulfur is in the dwelling, the impossibility of completely washing the laundry after sulfur.

Attention! This note is intended only for preliminary acquaintance with the drug, therefore it is necessary to apply it only after examination and consultation with a dermatologist.
