State Tver Medical Academy (TGMA): address, faculties

Conditions

For proper training of doctors in TSMU, faculties work according to programs corresponding to the educational standard of HPE. Sequence of training

First-year students and sophomores study theoretical and biomedical disciplines: chemistry, biology, physics, anatomy and physiology, histology, and then begin to study the diseased organism and the development of the disease in the departments of pathological physiology and anatomy. At the same time, students are attached to the mystery of the survey and the proper communication with patients - from the third year of training, it is already mostly at the clinical departments. On the following courses - senior - there are disciplines of a narrower profile - dermatology, otorhinolaryngology, ophthalmology, nervous and infectious diseases, psychiatry. On the sixth course, the results are summed up through state certification - a three-stage exam: test control, practical skills testing, then an oral interview and problem solving on situations. After this, graduates are sent to internship or residency to continue their studies in the chosen specialty.

Faculty of Pediatrics

There are 44 departments at the faculty, four of them are profile ones. The pedagogical collective of the profile departments consists of 26 people, including four professors and 11 associate professors. 85 percent of teachers have degrees. Over 300 employees, 50 doctors and almost 200 candidates of medical sciences, three honored scientists of Russia, 11 honored doctors, four honored workers of the Higher School of the Russian Federation and many other honored people are on the whole faculty. Only the corresponding members of the academies of sciences are more than ten.

Technically, the faculty is provided almost entirely with computer equipment, and printers, and scanners, and multimedia projectors, as well as purely medical devices, such as ECG and phantoms for resuscitation. Pharmaceutical Faculty

Obstetricians-gynecologists

Maternity hospital No. 1 in Tver is known as a practical base of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of TGMA. Resuscitation and anesthesiology

This course was organized in 1987 at the Department of Urology, then was united urology and hospital surgery, then in 2002 anesthesiology and resuscitation was taught for a while at the Department of Cardiovascular Surgery, and in 2010 a separate department was created. Here students of the fifth and sixth courses of the medical faculty are engaged. Emergency care, if the patient's condition threatens life, is studied with special attention.

Dentists

At the Department of Dentistry there are two main types of training: medical practice (practical health care) and general educational. The training base for practice is the Diagnostic Center of the State Medical University, its clinic and polyclinic. Clinical base
