Star actors. "Gena-Beton" - a comedy by Kachanov

The national comedy "Gena-Beton" (starring G. Kutsenko, O. Arntgolts, S. Peregudov, A. Smekhova, F. Bondarchuk, R. Litvinova, I. Okhlobystin, R. Kachanov) is a film with a difficult fate.

Only for TV

The shooting of the comic film "Gene-Concrete" (actors and roles were selected back in 2008) lasted more than 4 years. Director Roman Kachanov, having agreed on financing with a private investor, launched the shooting process in 2008, but when the shooting was in full swing, an unforeseen incident occurred - the investor declared himself bankrupt. As a result of insolvency, the project was frozen. Three years later, the director managed to procure the necessary amount in the "Fund for the Support of National Cinematography", the shooting resumed and the film was finished. The stars of domestic cinema, recognizable and beloved actors (Bondarchuk, Kutsenko, Okhlobystin, Fedortsov, Semchev, Yushkevich) were involved in the cinema, but it's fair to say that the above-mentioned and many other cashiers of the stage were removed from Kachanov's old friendship and acquaintance. The painting did not go out, it was only released for television. This turn was not expected even by the actors involved in the project. The "Gene-Concrete" went unnoticed for most Russian viewers.

Plot

Dashing 90's in full swing with all the ensuing consequences for the town of Velikiebelsk. Breaking from the water to bread, unemployed journalist Alexander Tikhomirov (Sergei Peregudov), wishing to get a permanent job in the staff of a more or less respectable publication, wandered into the office of the local leading newspaper. Its editor-in-chief offers the hero a scam - to pay a significant amount for a provocative report signed by the real name of a distressed journalist. The problem is that the article should be exposed in all conceivable and unimaginable sins of the local oligarch Fatyanov (Alexander Semchev). The journalist agrees that the article adorns the editorials of the newspaper, and the consequences in the form of an attack of Fatyanov's accomplices, nicknamed Irokez (Andrei Fedortsov) and Jaw (Konstantin Yushkevich) do not keep us waiting long. Tikhomirov, in order to protect himself, calls the customer a fictitious tough criminal authority with an eloquent nickname (they say that the nickname was invented by the actors themselves), "Gena-Beton." To confirm his words, the journalist hires a drunkard janitor Genu (Gosha Kutsenko), writes an article about him, shoots a video report, as a result of which Gena-Beton begins to live a real life. And the consequences of his actions were unpredictable for the whole city.

Creators

Director Roman Kachanov is known and loved by domestic audiences due to his bright film work: "DMB", stretched to quote "Down House", a funny series "Take Tarantino" and "Tumbler". The screenwriters of the "Gena-Beton" project are Andrei Kivinov (who worked on "High Security Vacation") and Konstantin Murzenko, and Kachanov, at least as the actors claimed, also attached their hand to the script. "Gena-Beton", unfortunately, was written without the participation of Okhlobystin, the actor acted only in the hypostasis of the performer of a secondary role. Perhaps, therefore, the scenario is frankly weak, without fatal phrases, without elegant dialogues. As a result, the picture turned out to be an average comedy, similar to a perestroika movie, shot not in the 90's, but in 2013. The comedy is not particularly funny and looks obsolete. Although the cast of the film is incomparable, especially Kutsenko in moments of "tough game".

The actors of the film "Gene-Concrete"

It is unclear why Sergei Peregudov was taken to the main role of the inventive journalist. According to the reviews of the audience and the reviews of professionals, he plays carelessly and unconvincingly. In the image does not fall at all, than, of course, annoying experienced moviegoer. He can be presented as a bandit rather than a journalist. Scandalist Alexei Panin, who acted as an operative, did not overwhelm the role, demonstrating his best qualities. His game full of mediocrity certainly can not be called. Fedor Bondarchuk was not allowed to turn around his colleagues in the shop, he is organic in his role, but he does not overtake the blanket. Ivan Okhlobystin traditionally great, a couple of times came to the fore, but did not overplay. Andrei Vasiliev made his character interesting, despite the fact that his hero remained a second-rate figure. Alika Smekhova played the role of the hostel manager, turning her heroine into a colorful and memorable character. The audience will like the heroine Anna Samokhina, the actress is no longer with us. The rest of the characters looked good too, noticeably, as the actors tried. "Gena-Beton" is a film, the cast of which reminds the Russian national team as for the Olympics.

As a result,

This time, Kachanov received an average comedy, which can be viewed solely because of acting and individual cameos. The film at once, to revise it, with all due respect to the creators, will not want. But given the countless number of pseudo-kinokartins stamping together with modern Russian cinematographs, this film looks good.
