Singer Dakota: biography and personal life

Singer Dakota (real name - Margarita Gerasimovich) is not only an excellent vocalist, but also a very talented composer and author of texts. Today her songs are performed by such famous artists as Ani Lorak, Anita Tsoi, Dominik Joker and others.

Childhood

Her date of birth is March 9, 1990. He was born in Minsk, the capital of Belarus. As a child, Rita was not particularly interested in typical games for girls: dolls "Barbie" and coloring with the princesses lay under the bed. And she herself at this time was chasing in the yard and playing with the boys in the war and the Cossack robbers.

But the performing skills began to manifest even then. In the evenings, among other peers, Rita entertained local grandmothers with court concerts. The boys sang the songs of Andrei Gubin and the group "Ladybug", while the girls chanted the songs of Natasha Koroleva, Tanya Ovsienko and Kristina Orbakaite.

School of Music

Mom even in her childhood drew attention to the musical gift of her daughter. She heard how, purely from the point of view of intoning, Rita sings songs, read poetry, which she wrote; Heard the melodies that she composed. The family decided to send the girl to study at a music school. Then, being a seven-year-old child, having come with her mother to enter the piano department, she won her singing with the main vocal teacher. As a result, it was decided, in addition to studying for a pianist, also singing in the choir. Later, thanks to pedagogical skills of teachers and Rita's natural gift, she became one of the best participants of this vocal group. The singer Dakota with her team went on tour in almost all countries of Europe. It should be noted that the participants of this choir at different times were singer Bianca, pianist Vlasyuk and other famous personalities.

A difficult choice

After the end of the music school, fourteen-year-old Rita decided to enter the music school. Glinka to the faculty of composition. All documents were collected, but at the last minute, literally before the doors of the school, she changed her mind. As the singer Dakota herself admitted, she unexpectedly came to the conclusion that if a person studies painfully, then as a result one can understand how to write the right music. But you can learn how to write good music, only with talent. Deciding then that the composition would be her hobby, she went on to improve her vocal performance by entering the studio of pop vocal "Forte".

Star Factory

Not having passed the casting for participation in the Belarusian musical show project "Stagecoach", the singer Dakota (see photo below), accused by jury members in "lack of patriotism" for singing in English, for some time refused Desire to build a solo career.

Much more at that time she was busy writing her own compositions. Therefore, when Rita learned from her friend Armen (a famous singer in Belarus) about the start of the casting of the seventh "Star Factory", she decided to go there to show her works by Konstantin Meladze. For this, she made a demo from her songs, firmly intending to prove to the producer that she would make a good composer.

But things did not turn out the way Dakota had planned. The singer, whose biography proves the versatility of her talent, was accepted to the TV project "Stars Factory-7" as a participant.

During the project, Rita wrote several new songs, got to know a lot of creative people. The teachers appreciated her vocal performance, recognizing her voice as one of the best in the history of the "Star Factory". Margarita became the finalist of the project. I recorded such popular author's songs as "Matches", "I knew everything", "One" and "Best friend".

Introduction to Dominic Joker

At the end of the project numerous tours of "manufacturers" followed, in one of which the singer Dakota met Dominik Joker, also a graduate of one of the previous "Factories". At that time he was a successful singer, composer and producer. Subsequently, these two creative people became close friends. But friendship is not the only thing that binds them. Dominic and Rita recorded several joint songs. The most famous of their work is the soundtrack to the TV series "Mama-Moscow".

At the End of Poverty

At the end of the tour, Dakota, still bound by the contract, was unclaimed. But the commitments did not allow her to leave for her native Belarus. In the absence of work, there was practically no means of livelihood. She lived in a little room outside the Moscow Ring Road, she was practically starving, but she did not lose her strength of spirit. There was also a desire to create music.

Not far from the then home of Rita was a school. The girl asked the watchman to let her in at night to the assembly hall to compose new songs on the old piano. There, covered with a blanket, she wrote down the fruits of her work on a dictaphone, once given to Constantine Meladze. At some point, it was realized that her songs might be of interest to other artists. Dakota offered them for performance to several novice performers. When I realized that her creations are in demand, I began to cooperate with "stars" higher rank.

When all the difficulties are over

Now, when the difficult period in the life of Margarita is over, she is a popular composer and author of the texts. It's enough to mention a few songs that now sound on the waves of all radio stations. The song "I'll Remember" performed by Alexander Marshall and T-killah, "The Skies" performed by Elki, "Do not need", performed by Svetlana Loboda.

Also, Dakota is now taking part in the project "Main Stage", where she mainly performs songs of her own composition.

Singer Dakota and Vlad Sokolovsky: love story

They met in 2007 when they were members of the "Stars Factory-7". Interestingly, but then they are very friendly and talked a lot, jokingly calling each other "brother and sister." At the end of the project for a long time did not communicate. Dakota is a singer whose personal life has never been public. But about the stormy adventures of Sokolovsky there were many rumors. Among his girls there were models, and singers, and dancers ... She also created an independent rock band, and then for a while she was on the edge of poverty.

Later, when success came to Rita, and her songs became hot, they met at one of the parties. By that time, Vlad changed his wavy hair to his shoulders for a fashionable haircut, and the youthful outfit for a suit and tie. He grew up and became a man. She was no longer an ardent rebel in sneakers, crazy about rock music. Perhaps, these circumstances allowed them to look at each other in a new way. After this meeting, they no longer parted, but from the general public long enough to hide their relationship. And after some time in the press began to appear their joint photos from various events. It was here that the fans suspected that there was more between them than a friendly relationship. And indeed, soon the pair confessed that they were in love and happy. And after a year and a half of relations Vlad and Dakota finally got married.

The singer and Vlad Sokolovsky, whose wedding took place on June 8, 2015, now enjoy family life, jointly engaged in creative activity (Rita writes songs, and Vlad performs them). It is also known that the guys decided to do business and opened several points of mobile fast food.
