Sightseeings of Bialystok: description of objects and reviews of tourists

Białystok is not considered the most popular city in Poland, but nevertheless it is often called the pearl of the north-eastern part of the country. After all, the sights of Bialystok, the natural beauties of the settlement and architectural monuments attract interest from tourists and are loved by the Poles themselves. In this locality lives a multinational community (Russians, Poles, Tatars and Belarusians), professing various religious trends. In Bialystok, there is something to be surprised, than to admire and enjoy.

Sightseeing in general terms

Sights of Bialystok were built and formed under the influence of the multicultural population of the city. The architecture and various cultural sites were influenced by the influence of Rome, Poland, Vilnius, East and West. As a result, the unusual character of the settlement was formed.

In Białystok there is a lot of cultural monuments, the first place among them is "Podlasie Versailles" - the Branicki residence. Many of Bialystok's sights were built during the 16th-18th centuries. The Branicki residence belongs to the end of the XVII century. The object is a palace and park complex, built in the Baroque style.

Near this sight there is one more - Koюciuszko street. Together with Lipova Street, it is a kind of reference point for most tourists. There are a lot of monuments of architecture and elite shops.

An interesting example of modernism in Białystok is the church of St. Roch, which crowns the 83-meter tower. The temple has the form of an octagon, and to its sides adjoins sacristy, presbytery and two chapels. The image of the star is constantly repeated in the interior of the building.

Some of the sights of the Polish city of Bialystok deserve a more detailed description.

Białystok Town Hall

Some of the attractions of Bialystok, which were built several centuries ago, are now completely reconstructed. One of them is the city hall, which is located at: ul. Kosciusko Market, 10. Its construction began in 1745 and lasted for 11 years. The architect of the project was Ian Klemm. The Town Hall became the cultural center of Bialystok, as soon as it opened the doors for visitors. The Jewish community opened a lot of shops and shops here, the tower of the building began to play the role of a fire tower. People began to come to the town hall to buy.

During the Second World War, the Town Hall was destroyed. Today, tourists and residents of the city see the building, which was rebuilt in 1958. As soon as the reconstruction works were completed, the town hall premises were given to the department of the city museum. Now the institution receives thousands of visitors every year.

Religious center of Bialystok

Bialystok (Poland), whose sights we are considering, can be proud of its religious sites. The religious center of the city is the Cathedral of the Blessed Virgin Mary (address - John Paul II square , 1). In the temple there are organ concerts and services, which are rightly appreciated not only by parishioners, but also by connoisseurs of art. People listen to music from all over the Earth.

Conventionally, the temple is divided into two parts: the old and the new. The old part was built in 1626, the new part was built much later, at the end of the XIX century. The decision to erect a new building was due to the fact that the church no longer contained all the parishioners who wished to attend this particular church. The 17th century building is delighted with its chic interior decoration. On the walls you can see the paintings made in gold. The new building is characterized by excellent acoustics. Both parts are built in the style of Neo-Gothic and Gothic.

Market Square

A wonderful city Bialystok. Sightseeing (photo can be considered in the article) here are diverse and not similar to each other. The market square of Tadeusz Kosciuszko (mentioned above) is the most famous tourist attraction in the city. This is a secluded area in the form of a triangle. There is a market square in the central part of Bialystok between Lipovaya Street, Branicki Palace and John Paul II Square. It is on this square is already the famous town hall.

Another attraction in Kosciuszko Square

Sights of Bialystok with addresses are described in our review. But I would like to mention one more object, which is located on the popular area of tourists Kosciuszko. In addition to the town hall, there is still a beautiful fountain, the history of which is several decades old. For the first time it earned in 1890 and since that time it is considered the most popular place in the village.

In 1900 the fountain became a museum in the open air. On it appeared small attractive sculptures, personifying the history of the city.

What tourists say

Perhaps, we listed all the main attractions. Bialystok reviews of tourists are called a beautiful neat city. Especially travelers are delighted with the Cathedral of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Tourists try to look at all the charm of the village, because he really likes them at first sight.
Sights of Bialystok are imbued with some special atmosphere. Looking at them from the outside and from the inside, you imagine that you are transferred to the distant past and become a participant in important historical events. Tourists admire the architecture of Polish Białystok and say that it exists as if separately, in itself. And this attracts.

The magnetism of the sights of this city remains for a long time, and even after you leave it, it seems that you are still there, and visiting other localities, you try to find in them the similarity with Bialystok.
