Short analysis: Vampilov, "Elder Son"

Alexander Vampilov is always like this: a tragedy with elements of comedy and comedy with elements of tragedy. The creator of the "Duck Hunt" did not do anything special, he just tried to reproduce in his works life as it is. In it, there is no only black and white, the existence of man is filled with half-tones. Our task is to talk about this in an article in which the analysis will be carried out. Vampilov, "Elder Son" - in the focus of attention.

At once it is necessary to make a reservation that it is necessary and a short retelling (it will contain some analytical observations) of the Vampilov masterpiece. We proceed to it.

Unsuccessful party for four

It all starts with the fact that two young guys (Vladimir Busygin and Semyon Sevostyanov) saw the girls off for 20 minutes and expected a pleasant evening, but the girls turned out to be "not like that", which they told to the suitors. Of course, the guys for the species argued a little, but there's nothing to do, on the side of the girls is always a key word in the romantic question. They stayed on the outskirts of the city, without a shelter, and it's cold outside, the last train left.

In this area there are two zones: the private sector (there are houses of the village type) and directly opposite - a small stone house (three stories high) with an arch.

Friends decide to split up: one goes to look for a night in a stone shelter, and the other handles the private sector. Busygin is knocking at home to 25-year-old female local court worker Natalya Makarska. She some time ago quarreled with the 10-grade Vassenka, who, apparently, long and hopelessly in love with her. She thought that this young man had come again, but no. Makarskaia and Busygin have been arguing for some time, but the young man naturally does not get a night's lodging for the girl.

Sevostyanov Semyon (Silva) denies the resident of the house opposite. Young people are where they were - on the street.

And suddenly they watch an elderly person - Sarafanov Andrei Grigorievich - clarinettist, serving in the orchestra, according to the official version, but actually playing at funerals and dancing, knocking at Natasha and asks to give him a few minutes. Young people think that this is a date, and they decide to break into Sarafanov's apartment under any pretext, they do not want to freeze in the street.

Our task is analysis: Vampilov ("The Elder Son", his play) is his object, therefore it should be noted that the characters Busygin and Silva at first seem to people quite superficial, frivolous, but in the process of plot development one of them changes in the eyes of the reader: acquires Depth of character and even some attractiveness. Who, we find out next.

Remembering the goal, I also have to say that Busygin is a fatherless and a medical student, his mother lives in Chelyabinsk with his elder brother. What does Silva do, it does not matter in the context of our plan.

Unexpected replenishment of the family

Young people are not mistaken: indeed, the door to the Sarafanovs' apartment remains open, and Vasenka, frustrated by the recent love failure, is going to flee the house, as it turns out later, his goal is the taiga. The daughter of Sarafanov (Nina) is not going to Sakhalin today or tomorrow, the other day she marries a pilot. In other words, the house reigns irritated, and its inhabitants are not up to the guests, though expected, and although not, so the aliens have successfully chosen the moment. We also need this to analyze. Vampilov ("The Elder Son") wrote his play filigree, all the characters perform their games impeccably and realistically.

Busygin pretends that he is familiar with Vassenka's father and says this phrase: "All of us, people, are brothers." Silva begins to untwist this idea and brings it to the point that Vladimir is the unexpectedly found stepbrother of Vasenka. The young man is in shock, Busygin, too, from the rapidity of his companion was a little stunned, what to do, on the street, I do not want to spend the night. They play this performance before the Sarafanovs. As the analysis shows, Vampilov ("Elder Son") began the play with a draw. At the bottom of the drama he has a joke, and the whole play seems to be something like a comedy, but it's only at first glance.

Vasya is looking for something to drink. Young people, including 10-graders, use. Then Sarafanov appears, and the unfortunate mourners hide in the kitchen. Vasya tells his father the whole story of his eldest son. The old man begins to recall aloud the details of the meeting with Vladimir's possible mother and involuntarily gives out to the whores all the necessary information, and they greedily catch every word: the woman's name, the city (Chernigov), the right age of the eldest son, if he was.

Then Vladimir appears, answers all questions of his father correctly. The house is overflowing with universal jubilation, and drinking continues, but now the Sarafanov senior has joined her.

Nina comes to the noise and demands an explanation. At first the girl does not believe her older brother, and then she gets confidence in him.

Busygin begins to believe in his own game. Character rebirth point

Between Busygin and an elderly person contact is immediately established, and the father opens his whole soul to the prodigal son. They talked all night. From the night conversation, Vladimir learns the details of Sarafanov's life, for example, the fact that Nina soon marries a pilot, as well as the mental torment of the father himself. How hard the family lived. Impressed by the night conversation, after his father went to bed, Vladimir wakes up Semyon and begs him to leave quickly, but Andrei Grigorievich finds them in the doorway. He asks his eldest son to accept a family relic - a silver snuff-box. And here with Vladimir there is a spiritual revolution. Either he felt very sorry for the old man, or himself, because he did not know his father. Busygin imagined that he was indebted to all these people. He believed that he was related to them. This is a very important point in the study, and the analysis of Vampilov's play The Elder Son moves on.

Love as a uniting force

When the holiday sounded noisy, it was necessary to remove it from the table and generally put the kitchen in order. This volunteered to do two - Busygin and Nina. During the joint work, which, as you know, unites, love took out its Finnish knife and pierced the heart of each of the young people. The further narrative only follows from such a significant event. This conclusion brings us an analysis of Vampilov's play The Elder Son

By the end of harvesting Busygin, for example, allows himself very caustic and terse remarks to the address without five minutes of Nina's husband. She does not reject it, but does not resist the poison of her brother too much. This suggests that the "relatives" are already on friendly foot with each other, and for a rapid development of confidential relations in a short time can only meet a strong mutual sympathy.

The spontaneously arising love between Vladimir and Nina builds the whole further plot and is the force that rally the Sarafanov family again into a single whole.

The divergence in different spheres of Busygin and Sevostyanov

Thus, mindful of the newly born love, the reader understands that Vladimir is now not illusory, but really becomes his own in the Sarafanov family. An unexpected guest becomes that nail that does not allow native people to lose ties among themselves, he connects them, becomes the center. Silva, on the contrary, turns out to be more and more alien to Busygin and to the house where they were accidentally brought, so Semyon tries to at least get something out of the situation and tries to twist the affair with Natasha Makarska. Vampilov wrote a wonderful play - "The Elder Son" (analysis and summary continue).

Appearance of the groom

On the day of cleaning the kitchen, a significant event should take place: Nina plans to introduce her father to her fiancé, a cadet of the flight school, Mikhail Kudimov.

Between the morning and evening there is a whole chain of events, which should be mentioned at least briefly: Makarska changes her attitude towards Vasenka with anger at mercy and invites him to the cinema. He rushes to buy tickets, not suspecting that Silva is already weaving his web of temptation. In it, he expects to catch Natasha. She readily, of course, is inferior to a woman lover, because Semyon is more suitable for her age. Silva and Natasha should meet exactly at 22:00. At the same time, the enthusiastic boy takes tickets for the movie show. Natasha refuses to go with him and reveals the secret that Andrei Grigorievich came to her for Vasyatka at night.

The fiery youth in despair, he again runs to collect a backpack to get away from the house in the embrace of the taiga. Somehow the characters in extreme nervous tension wait for the evening and the arrival of the groom.

Representation of the parties somehow immediately goes at random. Newly-baked elder brother and Silva play a trick on the cadet, he does not take offense, because he "loves gay guys." Kudimov himself is always afraid of being late for military hostel, and in general, seeing him is a burden.

Here comes the father of the family. Acquainted with Sarafanov, the groom begins to suffer from the fact that he can not remember where he saw the face of his future father-in-law. An elderly person, in turn, says that he is an artist, therefore, probably, the pilot saw his face either in the philharmonic or in the theater, but he discards all this. And suddenly, as a bolt from the blue, the cadet says: "I remembered, I saw you at the funeral!" Sarafanov has to admit that yes, indeed, he has not been working in the orchestra for 6 months already.

After the disclosure of the secret, which was no longer a secret, since the children had been aware of it for a long time, another scandal was being played out: Vasya left the house with screams and moans, determined to get to the taiga. The groom also, having seen enough, hastens to return to the military hostel before its closing. Silva goes to the movies. The father of the family is hysterical: he, too, wants to go somewhere. It is comforted by Busygin and Nina, the musician gives in. All this is very important, since it has a direct relation to the climax. Masterfully all made Vampilov. "The eldest son" (the analysis of the work we give) continues.

Catharsis

Then Vladimir confesses to Nina that he is not her brother and, worse, he loves her. At the moment, probably, according to the author's intention with the reader should occur catharsis, but this is not quite a denouement. In addition, Vasyatka runs into the apartment and admits that he set fire to Makarska's apartment just at the time when she was there with Silva. At the latter, the trousers were out of order because of the bullying of the young man. To complete the picture, an unhappy father with a suitcase came out of his room, ready to go to Chernigov to Vladimir's mother.

Fed up with a performance on a wave of disappointment from the spoiled clothes, Semyon puts Busygin and says that Vladimir is the same son Sarafanov, as he is his niece, and leaves.

Sarafanov does not want to believe and argues the opposite. Moreover, even suggests Volodya to move from the student hostel to them. In the intricacies of all these events, Busygin discovers that he was again late for the train. Everyone laughs. Everyone is happy. So the play ends, which Alexander Vampilov wrote. "The eldest son" (analysis also shows this) is an extremely difficult and ambiguous work for evaluation. It remains for us to sum up some results.

A family in a dead end

Now that we know the whole story, we can reflect on what the "eldest son" appeared in this whole story.

Obviously, the family was falling apart: my father lost his job, he began to drink. The walls of loneliness began to converge, he was in despair. Daughters tired of pulling the whole family (she had to work, that's why she looked older than her 19 years), she thought that leaving for Sakhalin as a wife of a military pilot is a wonderful way out. Still better than such a life. Vassenka was also looking for an outlet and could not find it, so he decided to go to the taiga, since he did not manage to stick to a more experienced woman (Natasha Makarska).

During the night conversation, when the father devoted his son to the details of his life and the details of his family's life, he very accurately described the situation, it could be put into one phrase: "Everyone is running, anticipating a huge tragedy hanging over them." Only Andrei Grigorevich can not run.

Busygin as Savior

The elder brother came just when he needed everything. Vladimir restored the balance and harmony of the family. Their love with Nina filled the empty reservoirs of family grace, and nobody wanted to run anywhere.

The father felt that he had a son, the eldest son, whom you can rely on. Nina realized that the island does not necessarily go, and the brother was able to defeat his painful affection for the girl much older than himself. Naturally, under Vasya's love for Natasha, there was a global melancholy for her mother, a sense of security and comfort.

The only character in the play that was left in the absolute loss is Silva, as all the other main characters formed some inner circle. Only Semyon was excluded from it.

Of course, Vladimir Busygin also won in the end: he had a father, whom he had been dreaming of since childhood. In other words, the play ends with a scene of general family harmony. At this point, I want to finish a short analysis. Vampilov's "eldest son" is brilliantly written, and this is not only a wonderful but also a profound work, raising serious questions to the reader.
