Alexey Shanin

The object of our discussion today will be the biography of Shanin, who is one of the most successful athletes in a discipline such as sporting spinning. He more than once won for Russia prizes in the championships both in the team game, and in personal struggle. Alexey not only does "quiet hunting", but also maintains a blog where he discovers the secrets of fishing. There are a lot of videos with tips and colorful descriptions for the fishermen, the author of which he is.

Alexei Shanin (35 years old) - the most titled spinning in the world, a three-time champion born in the 80s of the last century in the city of Krasnodar, first took part in competitions when he turned 22. He forever remembered the spring of 2002, then in the Krasnodar Territory passed Competitions between fishermen of the Western and Kuban districts, this championship became for him the starting point in the world of sport fishing with spinning.

At his next competition, the then-unknown fisherman met Shushvalov Gennady and Artem Makartychan. Thanks to this meeting, he became friends with them and became a part of their team, which often won in the All-Russia and other competitions. It was the championship "Old Pike 2002" of the Krasnodar Territory, held near the town of Temryuk. Having reached the town, Alexei Shanin (twitching, by the way, his favorite style of fishing) walked 11 km on foot to Temryukchanka base.

In the "Old Pike 2002", where 102 fishermen participated, Shanin was in seventh place, this was an achievement for a man who participates in similar competitions for the second time in his life.

The third in total and the first championship, the participation in which Alex accepted, being in a team with Artem Makartychanom, also passed in his hometown of a spinning-master and carried the name "Kubanskaya Vesna 2002". Due to the fact that Shanin Alexei spent most of the time allocated for the competition, helped the participant with the boat turned over, and unfavorable weather conditions caused the premature end of the championship, the team could not win. However, Makartychan took the second place, catching 18 kilograms of fish.

In the summer of the same year, Shushvalov, Shanin and Makartychan and another team from Krasnodar went to the competition "Moscow Zori 2002. Opening of the season." Arriving for his money in the suburbs to the Ozerninskoe reservoir, the team realized that they would have to compete in completely new conditions, the dissimilarity of the reservoir with the Krasnodar reservoirs was appreciated by Alexei Shanin. Fishing promised to be interesting, since this pond did not spoil the fishermen with shallow water plants, on the contrary, in some places it was 20 meters from the surface to the bottom of the river. Time for training before the competition was not provided, so as not to allow athletes to explore the terrain prematurely. The Krasnodar people left their usual strategy unchanged and engaged in "quiet hunting" in shallow parts of the reservoir. This decision proved to be advantageous and brought the team in the first stage the second place, since the bulk swam to the shore, where at that time there were more small prey. Leaving the Muscovites far behind, the team of Alexei Shanin, Genadiy Shushvalov and Artem Makartychan was the first. What was the starting point of the way to the world of big sport.

In 2002, there were several championships, where Shanin's team took part, however, on none of them did the guys take prize places.

2003

Next year (2003) Shanina waited a series of victories in personal competitions.

Thanks to this victory, the spinner took part in the world champion in Italy. Suppose he was in the national team and took the place of reserve, already in the second round, he replaced Vladimir Gabelev and became the owner of the first place, which raised the Russian spinners from the sixth position in the table and brought them a silver medal. There is also a number of competitions in which Alexey Shanin took part in 2004:

  • Fishing, which brought the second place to the sportsman - the championship of the Western and Kuban District of Krasnodar.
  • In the competition "Old Pike 2004" and "Kuban Spring 2004" he won.

Shanin Alexei easily passed qualifying tests, as well as the Russian national team included Muscovite Petertsov Andrey, fellow countryman and friend Shanin Krasnodar Makartychan Artem, Petersburgers Vorobiev Alexander and Balachevtsev Maxim, coach Chernov Andrey - Saratov.

The championship was held on a mountain river, in which trout was literally swarming. At this championship, the hero of our article set a world record, which, incidentally, no one has ever been able to beat, caught 89 fish in 3 hours of fishing.

The first day the whole team showed themselves perfectly and became the first. Did not let the national team of his country and in the next round, which also won. Alexey Shanin and Maxim Balachevtsev competed for the right to get gold in personal wrestling, as a result, Alexei became the gold medalist with the result of 108 caught fish.

In autumn in Saratov on the Volga River for the first time the world championship on spinning from the boat. According to the rules, a pair of spinners is placed in each boat and a judge whose task is to monitor the weight and size of the caught fish and then let it go back to the water area. Each team was divided into 2 boats, that is, in the main lineup there should have been only four athletes and two in reserve.

The national team included: Muscovite Andrey Silevanov, who stood in a pair with the Krasnodar Alexei Shanin; Muscovite Andrei Pitertsov, left in the reserve; Saratov Sergey Kozhevnikov, also took a place in the reserve; Krasnodar Vladimir Posokhov paired with Muscovite Maxim Dydykin.

In the first round, Russia immediately took leadership positions, in connection with which Andrei Chernov (head coach of the national team) was not going to change the main line-up. However, in connection with the broken moral condition, Selivanov asked to replace him, and Pietertzov stood in his stead with Shanin. The guys who caught the pike in the first stage had to switch to perch, losing to their lagging teams. Despite this, the crew Shanin-Pitertsev-Selivanov took first place, catching in the second round 5 kg perch. This brought gold to the Russian national team.
