Savannah Animals

Savannah is an amazing place that can conquer anyone. Among its unusual nature there is a special feeling of man's defenselessness before the mighty element. Equally interesting is the savanna animals, whose wonderful world reveals their secrets only to those who truly love the nature and "brothers" of our smaller ones. Rare species of plants and animals have been attracting travelers for hundreds of years. Some come here just to admire the gracefulness of gazelles, others to hunt, and some go to the savannah to study these completely unknown lands.

The animal world of the savannah is very diverse and it needs to be learned gradually, patiently studying the habits of animals and their habitats. In itself, savannah is unusual. In summer it is green and moist, and with the onset of winter it becomes dry and yellow. Bright representatives of this zone are zebras and giraffes. It is interesting that these savannah animals graze always next to each other. People who study the behavior of these mammals in the wild have repeatedly felt that giraffes and zebras understand each other from a half-view. Apparently, not in vain they always keep close. Giraffes play the role of the tower, noticing the approach of common "enemies." Once they are alerted, zebras immediately react to this and are also preparing for a possible invasion of their peaceful ranks. Savannah animals are in constant danger, as there are plenty of predators here. Holding together, the herbivorous is easier to avoid death from suddenly arising "enemies".

Zebras are one of the most notable and catchy mammals in the savannah. These animals are unusually tightly knocked down, and their activity indicates an abundance of vitality. Their behavior resembles the games of toddlers. No savanna animals play and do not roll in the dust like zebras. In appearance they are cute and balanced, they often stand up to each other, as if bored young children. Watching them is a pleasure!

Animals are sometimes outwardly awkward. This fully applies to the wildebeest gnu, which is jokingly called the hunchbacked horse. Indeed, it is unusual. In these animals there are features reminiscent of other mammals: muzzle like a horse; Body, like an antelope and a horn, like a bull. What is not a fairy-tale character ?! Given the fact that savanna animals are usually represented by large populations, wildebeest grapes graze huge herds and try to stay close to their fellow impala antelope. They do not avoid the society of giraffes and zebras, with which they perfectly coexist on the same territory. In this friendly "company" impala antelopes, perhaps, the most quick. They can be compared to grasshoppers, however, color brings. This species of antelope is reddish in color and very easy to move. Their ears are large and similar to plush.

The tops of the reservoirs in the savannah can usually clearly tell in the footsteps which of the inhabitants are nearby. As a rule, in these places buffaloes like to be, and in the water bodies you can see big and awkward hippos. Lovers of moisture, these peace-loving creatures most often do not show up completely, but from a distance you can see two huge and protruding eyes.

If we talk about water, we can not forget about crocodiles. Savannah animals are afraid of them for their evil temper and try to stay away from those places where these green predators are found. It's not only the hippopotamus that is scary, he is thick-skinned. Maybe that's why peaceful hippos with crocodiles coexist peacefully, although the first two do not like it.

Not only animals of the savannah, but also their feathered companions are interesting, among which one can not fail to mention storks-razin. These birds are distinguished by the fact that their beaks never close tightly and rather resemble long forceps, with which they manage to cleverly split the snails.
