Saratov Philharmonic: about the philharmonic society, repertoire, artists, artistic director

The Saratov Regional Philharmonic named after Schnittke is one of the leading concert organizations of our country. There are various events for adults and children, as well as a studio for young artists.

About Philharmonic Society

The Saratov Regional Philharmonic Society was opened in 1937. In 1946 on its base the symphony orchestra was founded, which became famous throughout the country and became known even in Europe. The team has more than once become a prize-winner of various festivals and competitions of the All-Union, All-Russian and international levels.

In 1991 the brass band Volga-band was founded. In 2005, he was recognized as the best at the festival in Corfu.

Today in the Philharmonic there are eight professional collectives working at the highest level and in various directions. All of them repeatedly won in competitions, than confirm their skills.

The Philharmonic Society not only conducts concerts with the participation of its artists, but also often hosts guest performers, including world celebrities. In addition, competitions are held here and various large projects are being implemented. Some of the most famous are the Neuhaus festivals and the "Knushevitsky Offer". Also, the Philharmonic is the organizer and participant of numerous cultural events, including large-scale ones. Among them: "Bravissimo", "In an ensemble with an organ", "Beau monde", "In the homeland of I. Ya. Panitsky".

In 2012, the Philharmonic celebrated its anniversary (75 years). Every team working here in honor of such an event presented its own program. The celebration in Moscow was over. The Saratov Symphony Orchestra performed in the capital with a concert at the Pyotr Tchaikovsky Hall.

The Saratov Philharmonic gathered on its stage professional and talented groups, as well as soloists and lecturers.

Children's studios

The Saratov Philharmonic offers girls and boys to become real artists. For them, the pop studio "Orange" works here. It was opened in 2004. Here, young artists learn to sing and dance, play in musical performances. The performances are designed for both viewers-children, and their moms, dads, grandparents. The performances of "Orange" are interesting for everyone. The guys who are engaged in the studio regularly participate in various festivals of children's creativity. In 2007, 2012, 2013, young artists became winners in contests held in Yaroslavl, Veliky Ustyug and St. Petersburg ("The Musical Spring for Children", "The Feast of Childhood" and "Winter's Tale").

Artistic director

The Saratov Philharmonic since 2014 lives under the leadership of Emmanuel Leduc-Baroma. This talented conductor was born in 1971 in France. He studied in three conservatories. Emmanuel began his education in Lyon (France), continued in Geneva (Switzerland), completed in St. Petersburg. The internship was held in Amsterdam and at the Sibelius Helsinki Academy.

Emmanuel began his career at the Kaliningrad Philharmonic, where he spent three years as the conductor of a chamber orchestra. In 2001, the maestro was awarded a prize from the French association, designed to promote cultural relations. In 2007 E. Ledyuk-Barom made his debut in Rio de Janeiro and in the USA. In 2014, the maestro became both the main conductor and artistic director of the Saratov Philharmonic named after A. Schnittke.
