Review of the Suzuki Djebel 200 motorcycle: description, specifications and reviews

The motorcycle "Suzuki Djebel 250" was created in the autumn of 1992. Its predecessor is "Suzuki DR", from which the new model got the former engine with cooling by air-oil circulation and inverted front fork, also used on the DR-250S. In addition to the existing attributes, a large headlight with a protective clip was added. The fuel tank remained unchanged. The bike was produced until 1994. The review of the Suzuki Djebel 200 motorcycle is presented below.

Production start

He made his debut in mid-1993, after his successor, SX-2000R, was discontinued. The motorcycle became popular almost immediately and, given the high demand, was produced with interruptions until 2005.

At first the Suzuki model Djebel 200 was sold only in the domestic Japanese market, then small consignments were sent to Europe, where after a short test the motorcycle began to be sold quite actively. Affected by low cost and quality.

In addition, model 200 was designed for dual use - for rural areas and for urban highways. It should be noted that the motorcycle with honor coped with both tasks. The model is reliable, easy to operate and relatively inexpensive to maintain.

Service as it is

The popularity of the machine was promoted by a wide network of technical maintenance of the company "Suzuki", which it deployed throughout Europe. The issue of spare parts was thus not standing, any details could be obtained within an hour, and repair and replacement did not constitute any problem, since qualified specialists were ready for work everywhere. Among other things, the motorcycle was constructively simple, without any frills. Many actions associated with minor repairs, the owners could easily perform independently without much difficulty, if at hand was a simple tool, a hammer, a set of keys and other devices.

Suzuki Djebel 200 was modified in 1997. Landing was made understated, but the ground clearance remained the same. The coloring was varied. Camouflage of several combinations, a tank of silver color with a black finish. Mud flaps on both wings, an oil cooler for more efficient cooling of the engine. The export name is "Troyan-200". Some skeptics doubted the word "Trojan", because everyone knows the story of the Trojan horse. And if there is any kind of dirty trick, the buyers asked each other. However, the first kilometers behind the wheel of a comfortable dynamic motorcycle dispelled all doubts.

Does color matter

At first, the motorcycle was in demand mainly from the rural population, then it began to paint in brighter colors and the situation leveled off, "Jebel 200" was now acquired by urban residents. Of course, each buyer had his own stereotypical approach, someone liked orange camouflage, and someone preferred coloring more modestly. However, all converged in one thing - and the villagers and the city would like to buy a reliable, trouble-free motorcycle, and what color, it can be discussed later.

The bike was produced for a while as "Jebel 250", but soon the production completely switched to "Jebel 200", as the fuel economy was significant. And this option turned out to be the most successful, the production of the "two hundredth" continued for a long time, and not only for reasons of low gasoline consumption - there were still a number of arguments in favor of the "two hundredth", one of which was the reliability of the design.

The motorcycle was not intended for racing either over the ring or over rough terrain. It was a simple machine for simple operation under normal conditions. However, it was difficult to stay on the good highway, especially the young motorcyclist. The speed of "Jebel 200" was decent and amounted to about 180 km per hour. Some owners even arranged mini-competitions among themselves, just in order to check the technical capabilities of the machine. And the motorcycle never failed.

Customer Reviews and Feedback

The motorcycle "Suzuki Jebel 200" refers to semisportive bikes with good speed characteristics. Owners first of all note reliability, good repairability and inexpensive maintenance. And only after that they speak about the high-speed qualities. Nevertheless, customer reviews are not divided into categories, but all are taken into account without exception.
