Republic of Nagorno-Karabakh: conflict and ways to solve it

The Soviet Union has already existed as long as it does not exist, and problems after its disintegration remained far from being resolved. One of such problems is Nagorno- Karabakh, the conflict in which goes beyond all the limits. Bloodshed continues to this day, no one wants to give in to anyone, but people are dying. Why are these peoples still unable to reconcile and what are attempts made for this?

History of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict

Representatives of Armenian and Azerbaijani nationalities live in the territory of the present-day Republic of Nagorny Krabah. Of course, each people reaches out to their roots, their state, but here people both on one side and on the other hand live almost the same number. How to solve this conflict of Nagorno-Karabakh, to which state should this small warring republic be annexed? During the existence of the Soviet Union, these peoples lived peacefully, because they were part of one big state. And in 1987, letters began to come to Moscow with requests to join Nagorno-Karabakh, the conflict in which it began to gain momentum, to Armenia. Then the Armenians decided to collect signatures and send them to the Kremlin. And here the oil in the flaming flames was poured by the adviser of Gorbachev Abel Aganbegyan, who stated in Paris that the Nagorno-Krabach should be transferred to Armenia. In the village of Chardakhli (north of Azerbaijan) there was a clash between local authorities and Armenians, which revealed disagreement with the newly appointed chairman of the kolkhoz. The police beat these Armenians, and they came to protest in Moscow. On February 20, 1988, the Council of People's Deputies of the Nagorno-Karabakh Autonomous Region decided to include this territory in Armenia. The reaction of the Azerbaijanis was instantaneous, and on February 22, Askeran faced a clash of protesters on both sides. People were killed, and still the conflict remained unresolved. Nagorno-Karabakh in 1989 was partially withdrawn from the power of Azerbaijan. State troops entered this territory, but the shootings continued anyway. As a result of all these actions in 1991, a war broke out. Nagorno-Karabakh, the conflict in which at this time reached its apogee, was occupied from all sides. Only after the intervention of Russian troops in 1994, the war ceased in the Republic of Nagorno-Karabakh. The history of the conflict gives information that Russia supplied arms to both sides, although Azerbaijan claimed that it received aid from Turkey.

Current situation

In today's world, the problem of Nagorno-Karabakh has not been resolved. Despite the fact that the CSCE, NATO, and the European Union have decided on the agenda of the solution of the problem in the republic, reconciliation here does not smell. The heads of the states pretending to him should sort out each other. And since no one is making concessions, the problem stands still, and Nagorno-Karabakh, a conflict in which there is still no conflict, and is ignited by bloodshed, formally belongs to Azerbaijan. Recently, the head of the Azerbaijani community of Nagorno-Karabakh Bayram Safarov said that Armenians can live in this territory only if they accept local citizenship. And those who refuse to accept it, must immediately leave the territory.
