Replacing the toilet seat does not require special professional knowledge, however, the ability to handle a drill for this is necessarily useful.

At the first stage, after buying a new product, dismantle the old one. This is not always easy to accomplish. If the toilet flaps, then it is enough to disconnect it from the water supply and the sewer pipe, and then you can safely clean it. However, often the toilet is immured in the floor to perform dismantling, it is necessary to break it.

Then it is necessary to prepare the floor: the toilet is replaced by the hands on a flat surface, otherwise the new product may crack or crack under load. To do this, make a small concrete screed on the floor . In addition, it is necessary to carefully dismantle the old cast iron tee, which is changed to a plastic analog. This is done slowly, with the help of loosening, sometimes simply breaking with a chisel and a hammer.

At the next stage, the toilet is replaced directly . The installation is carried out as follows. First, a plastic tee is installed in the drain pipe riser. This is easy enough to do if the tap of the tap is well cleaned. Then the toilet is put in its original position on the floor. Do not connect the drain tank yet. The toilet is attached to the tap with corners and corrugated hose.

After completing the measurements, the place where the toilet was standing should be marked with a pencil or marker. Checking, whether the fixing nests coincide with the holes made in the floor, you need to tilt the toilet bow slightly. On the previously marked strip, a silicone sealant is applied, and the product is put in its place. Replacing the toilet with a sealant will allow it to fix well and prevent the appearance of a squeak. Next, the already installed product is pressed with bolts. This should be done very carefully, so that the bolt is not pinched. Otherwise, the ceramic can crack and crack. Bolts can be worn with decorative hats.

In the second stage, the drain tank is connected, which is also included in the toilet device. The tank itself is not required to be assembled, as it is already done at the factory. Old designs, sold in disassembled form, should be completed with instructions. So, when installing the tank on the toilet, it is necessary to remember the rubber gaskets (included in the kit) that must be put between these two devices.

Then the pressure bolts hold the tank attached to the toilet bowl. The first bolt is clamped until the tank is slightly bent. Then, pressing on it from above, alignment is carried out, the second fixing bolt is tightened.

In order to avoid future accidents, it is necessary to use only a quality hose to connect the tank to the water supply. It is not recommended to use a hose with a metal braid, which can rust and cause a breakthrough. It is best to take a more reliable high-quality metal-plastic or a hose with metal corrugation.

When the toilet is replaced and it is connected to a water pipe, it is necessary to open the tap and wait until the drain tank is full. If the water flows into the sewer from any connections, then it is necessary to remove the corrugated hose or corners, dry everything, apply silicone, put the structure in its place and wait until it dries.
