Oleg Budargin is a well-known Russian politician and manager. Currently, he holds the post of General Director in the Public Joint Stock Company "Russian Networks". In the middle of the 2000s he got into the public field as governor of the Taimyr Autonomous District, later united with the Krasnoyarsk Territory.

Oleg Budargin was born in 1960. He was born in the Kamchatka region, in a small village of Klyuchi in the Ust-Kamchatsky region.

As head of the Taimyr Autonomous Okrug, Oleg Budargin worked for 4 years. It was he who began to actively promote the topic of irrationality of the existence of this autonomous region as a separate region. As a result, in 2005 a referendum was held, at which most residents supported the association with the Krasnoyarsk Territory. It was held in 2007. Since then, the post of governor of the Taimyr Autonomous District has been abolished. It became a municipal district.

Up the career ladder

Oleg Budargin, whose biography was associated with work in the north, in 2007, the ambassador of the abolition of the Taimyr District, became the plenipotentiary representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Siberian Federal District.
