The charger from the computer's PDU has several advantages and disadvantages. The pluses are, first of all, small size and light weight. Of course, this criticality is also observed in transformer devices, but in the event of failure of a pulsed unit, alternating current with a voltage of 220V tends toward the battery. It is terrible to imagine the consequences of this for all devices and people nearby. The use of protection in power supplies solves this problem.
