Recessed work surfaces: selection features

Embedded work surfaces are a technique of the present and future. In any, even the smallest, kitchen, it is much easier to place a cooking surface than a standard gas or electric cooker. Moreover, the choice is very rich. Often this can be a problem: it's hard to decide. To facilitate the task, we will understand some technical points.

By type of connection, recessed work surfaces are:

  • Combined;
  • Electric;
  • Gas.

By this criterion, it's the easiest to determine: what kind of person suits you most, that's what you choose. The most convenient, of course, combined recessed work surfaces. You can always cook something, even if suddenly turn off the gas / electricity. The disadvantages of this choice can be attributed to the price: this type of technology is already quite expensive, and the combined options are the most expensive of all available assortment.

By designation, the built-in working surfaces are of the following types:

  • The hob (a set of burners of different shapes and diameters), can be brewed in the oven or in the countertop. Unlike the usual kitchen stoves, the number of burners can be from two to six, so to choose the right option for any family is not a problem.
  • Fryer, grill, steamer - auxiliary surfaces with limited functions. To save space, they can be mounted as a modular series.

Here with a choice too all more or less simply. The hob is installed in 99% of cases, but you choose optional surfaces to your taste.

Burners can be:

  • Express - for rapid heating. Most often, the element is quickly heated up to a certain temperature (set by means of a regulator), then a slow decrease in temperature.
  • Oval shape. All the burners have a circular shape, but some have an additional area that is turned on if necessary (for example, if an oval dish is used).
  • Multi-contour: have two or three concentric circles of different diameters. Including contours of different diameters, select the size of the burner under the dishes.
  • A multi-row gas burner has three or two flame rows. This allows you to speed up the cooking process.

By the principle of installation, the built-in working surfaces are dependent and independent. Dependent surfaces can be placed only in conjunction with the oven: the control panel they have one for two devices. The built-in countertops and coating are different: stainless steel, glass ceramics, enameled, tempered glass (there is even a mirror surface).

In addition to all these technical and aesthetic moments, you have to choose another manufacturer. The situation, as with all home appliances: there are proven and well-known brands, and there are more budgetary, but almost unknown. What to choose is up to you. But, judging by the reviews, the preferences are often given to the untwisted brands. So, many get embedded work surfaces of Bosch, Samsung, Hotpoint-Ariston, Zanussi, Whirpool and some other companies. But this is only the choice of the majority.

Having chosen, finally, the model, do not forget about the illumination of the working surface: this is necessary to increase the comfort of use. True, with good lighting, you will often have to wipe the surface - even minor impurities are visible and spoil the appearance.
