Pineview Drive: Passage and features of the game
Unfortunately, today less and less quality horror films are coming out that can create and maintain a heavy atmosphere, really scare, while giving users pleasure, to enthrall them in a mysterious world, to enchant. Today, almost all developers try to just cash in on popular ideas, and the Pineview Drive project, unfortunately, is no exception. Perhaps his idea was good and claimed something more than a passing product, but the implementation seriously disappointed - in Pineview Drive, the passage will weary you much earlier than you would like, and no horrors will help.
Plot
As you know, in quality horror movies, the gameplay is not so important as the atmosphere itself, history, immersion in the game world. In Pineview Drive, passing almost all spoils: you get a pretty interesting story that could claim something impressive and exciting, if not for the gameplay, which obviously does not pull the project in 2014. So, what do you have? Your main character is a widower who came to a country house in Pineway Drive twenty years ago with his wife, but she disappeared incredibly. Twenty years have passed, but she never returned, and all this time your hero was tormented and could not find comfort. And now, after such a long time, he decides to visit this house to solve the riddle of his wife's disappearance, to meet face to face with his fears, and also to understand what is happening inside, where no one can live more than a month and with horror leaves . A beautiful story that could be turned into something incredibly exciting and really frightening. However, in Pineview Drive the passage does not represent anything of itself, and on one story the game could not leave.
Walkthrough by Day
If you are interested in what the Pineview Drive is , then everything is quite simple. You go into the house and immediately encounter paranormal forces that are clearly not very friendly towards you. The whole game lasts exactly thirty days, during which you will need to escape from various horrors, to find more and more secrets that hide the mysterious house. It sounds, of course, impressive, but in fact everything is much worse. Perhaps, if this game was written on flash and took not thirty days, but three, it was much more impressive. But an extended narrative that does not bring anything especially new every next day is not the best solution that the Pineview Drive developers could adopt. The game does not drag and drag, but what can be worse for horror?
Features of the passage
So, you find yourself in a house in which a terrible atmosphere reigns - gradually your presence begins to manifest spirits. And from this it becomes pretty scary. But about the horrors will be discussed a little later - now it is important how you will pass Pineview Drive. The game, unfortunately, can not offer you a huge variety of activities. From the very first day to the last, the thirtieth, your main occupation will be to search for various keys that open chests, doors, and so on. All this will be accompanied by small additional actions, which are so small that they can barely even brighten up the dullness of what is happening, as well as various horrors that try to extricate the game to any decent level. However, it's useless - passing the game Pineview Drive can scare, can tighten you with its atmosphere, but all this quickly passes, again and again baring the monotonous wanderings in the same rooms, identical to the tasks that require you all the same - to find the next key that will open the next Door, behind which there will be ghosts and a new key.
Fears
Along with the atmosphere, which at least somehow brightens up what is happening, we can note the realization of horrors, which are a little "invigorating" the passage. In the game there are various screamers, terrible moments and really terrible ghosts, which can be frightened. But, unfortunately, this does not happen very often, there is no variety in the game, so in the end even the horrors that are there are no longer pleasing.
Should I pass?
The modern game industry creates daily several games of various genres, including horror. However, unfortunately, most of the projects are far from the best, therefore they are quickly forgotten. Most likely, the same fate awaits and Pineview Drive. Feedback from users and critics is not impressive, the average score tends to 30 points out of 100, so this game is likely to be forgotten soon enough. If you have already played all the worthy horror movies, but still want something new, then you can try to go through all 30 days of this project. But still you will only be upset because the developers have "buried" such a good idea, having issued such a terrible implementation. But there could be another masterpiece, which is not so much in this genre.
