Physiotherapy in gynecology

Along with traditional medicines, gynecologists widely apply physiotherapy methods based on the action of current, magnetic field, laser and ultrasound in their practice. In many cases, these techniques are an important addition to treatment, and often the only thing that can help with gynecological disease.

With each passing day new devices and, accordingly, techniques appear more and more, but basic (baths, electrophoresis, cure) have not lost their relevance.

Treatment is selected individually and depends not only on the age, the level of reproductive system disorders, but also on the effectiveness of the previously cured treatment.

Physiotherapy in gynecology has several directions, including hardware therapy, techniques using natural components (for example, shower, mud baths), as well as manual therapy (massage).

The majority of female diseases is associated with impaired blood supply to the pelvic organs, and physical methods eliminate this phenomenon. Also, one should not forget about neuralgia (pelvic ganglionovrit), peculiar to women in a situation where it is not recommended to take many medications. The representatives of the fair sex know that physical therapy, the treatment at which it passes absolutely painlessly and safely, improves the overall well-being and benefits the entire body.

What diseases are prescribed physiotherapy in gynecology?

In general, this applies to inflammatory diseases and adhesions. Correction of fixed bend of cervix, menstrual cycle (up to amenorrhea), infertility, hormonal insufficiency (primary and secondary) can be corrected. Some methods are used to recover from surgery and delivery, and also to prepare for an impending pregnancy after a miscarriage. Physiotherapy in gynecology is used for menopausal problems, for menopause, and for painful coitus.

The most common pathology, in which this therapy is prescribed, is the adhesive process in the small pelvis. After the course, the adhesions become softer and more stretchy, which reduces the pain syndrome and improves bowel function. Of course, only surgery can be a radical method of treatment, but after that physiotherapy is still prescribed to prevent the formation of new adhesions.
