Paraaminobenzoic acid: properties and indications for use

Everybody knows about the benefits of vitamins. However, not everyone knows the individual properties of these natural substances. A lot of useful qualities have vitamin B10. In scientific terms, it is called "paraaminobenzoic acid". The substance is contained in some plant foods, and is also available as a medicine. The exact dose of vitamin B10, which is necessary for the body every day, is not established. However, it was found that no more than 4 grams of para-aminobenzoic acid should be consumed per day. Otherwise, there will be an overdose, which can lead to a deficiency of the thyroid gland.

What is paraamino benzoic acid?

Vitamin B10 is one of the essential substances that must enter the body with food. Activation of the immune system, prevention of dysbacteriosis and control of allergic manifestations - all these properties provide paraaminobenzoic acid. The formula for vitamin B10 is as follows: NH2-C6H4-COOH. This chemical is destroyed by reaction with water. Under the influence of high temperatures, the structure of paraaminobenzoic acid is not violated. What are the sources of vitamin B10? Everyone knows that most of the nutrients come into the human body with food. Not an exception and the acid is para-aminobenzoic. This vitamin is found in the following products:

  1. Yeast.
  2. Bran.
  3. Syrup.
  4. Mushrooms.
  5. Sunflower seeds.
  6. Nuts.

Despite the fact that the listed products are not used constantly, they must be added to the usual diet (dough, salads). In addition, vitamin B10 is available in some vegetables. Among them - carrots and potatoes, greens (lemon balm, parsley, spinach). In small quantities, the acid is found in dairy products and eggs.

In addition to the exogenous intake of vitamin B10, this substance is produced in the human body independently. It is a product of the synthesis of normal microflora. Therefore, in the absence of dysbacteriosis, there is no shortage of para-amino-benzoic acid in the body.

Useful properties of vitamin B10

Paraaminobenzoic acid has the following properties:

  1. Stimulation of interferon production. Thanks to this function, the body's immune system is maintained. People who do not have a deficiency of paraaminobenzoic acid are less likely to be exposed to viral and bacterial infections.
  2. The fight against free radicals. Vitamin B10 is considered one of the strongest antioxidants. In this regard, its use leads to an improvement in skin elasticity, stimulation of nail and hair growth.
  3. Activation of intestinal microflora. Under the influence of para-aminobenzoic acid, a synthesis of certain vitamins, useful for digestion of bacteria, occurs.
  4. Maintenance of functional activity of the thyroid gland.
  5. Participation in the dilution of blood. Vitamin B10 is recommended for people who have a risk of developing thrombosis.
  6. Providing protection against ultraviolet rays.
  7. Stimulation of lactation during breastfeeding.

In addition, vitamin B10 is involved in all metabolic processes that regulate folic acid. By chemical structure, this substance has similarity to novocaine. It is assumed that vitamin B10 stimulates the growth of collagen and elastin, providing prevention of skin pathologies and joint diseases.

Indications for the use of para-aminobenzoic acid

There are no special indications for the use of para-aminobenzoic acid, since this substance is necessary for healthy people. Nevertheless, it is worth using more vitamin B10 for the following violations:

  1. Anemia.
  2. Weakness and fatigue.
  3. Skin manifestations of allergic reactions.
  4. Dysbacteriosis.
  5. Depigmenting skin diseases (vitiligo).
  6. Early baldness and the appearance of gray hair.
  7. Delayed development in children.
  8. Insufficient lactation.
  9. Diseases of the joints.
  10. Sun burns.

Lack of vitamin B10 in healthy people can lead to the emergence of these pathological conditions.

Paraaminobenzoic acid: the preparations in which it is contained

Vitamin B10 can be bought at pharmacies. The trade name of paraaminobenzoic acid is the drug "RAWA". In addition, the substance is added to some vitamin complexes. Among them are preparations "Multivit", "Vitrum". The ester of para-aminobenzoic acid is used in medicine as a local anesthetic.
