The Yubileiny Sports Palace (Tver) was opened in 1983. Until then, the only significant sports facility in the city was the football stadium "Chemist".

At the Palace of Sports, members of the TCK club began to be engaged. The school of hockey and figure skating has opened. Concerts of pop stars were held here, since the capacity, which the Sports Palace "Jubilee" (Tver) has - about 2000 spectators.

During the years of perestroika, the building was in a state of neglect. Matches involving a local hockey team, several children's sections, a few fairs - events held in the sports complex. But times have changed. The development of sports began to be allocated funds, and the population began to live better financially. The country started to put in order the existing sports arenas and sites. In the late nineties, the second part of the "Jubilee" was opened, because those wishing to go in for sports became crowded on former squares.

Modern Sports Palace

Today, the Sports Palace "Jubilee" (Tver) covers an area of 60,000 m². Of these, 23,000 m² are allocated to the rooms for administrators, coaches, guests, and locker rooms, showers, etc.

At the moment the sports complex has two ice arenas. The main one is equipped with stands for two thousand people with an area of 1713 m². Here there are training of hockey players and figure skaters, as well as major events: hockey matches, championships in figure skating, mass skating.

The second arena, which began work in 2008, takes up less space, has balconies for spectators and is mostly used as a training arena.

Sports complex "Jubilee" has halls for fitness, choreography and a gym. In addition to athletes involved here, they can attend for a fee anyone interested.

There is also a games room in the complex. Volleyball players and basketball players train here. In the hall are equipped stands for 350 spectators and competitions are held on the named sports games.

Not so long ago, were put into operation rooms for martial arts, which allowed to increase the number of people engaged in sports.

Every year, the Central Ice Hockey Championship "Golden Puck" is held with the support of Vladislav Tretyak, the children's hockey competition for the prize of Ilya Kovalchuk, the youth hockey tournament in memory of Mikhail Krug.

The main arena often becomes a platform for performances of pop stars. Here there were concerts of Philip Kirkorov, Oleg Gazmanov, Valery Meladze, Alexander Rosenbaum, Stas Mikhailov, Zemfira, Mumiy Troll, King and Jester, Leningrad, Chaif.
