Pain in the ear

The pain in the ear in many cases occurs as a result of the development of the inflammatory process in the middle ear. The causes may also be complications of acute diseases caused by viruses. Inflammation of the middle ear occurs due to the penetration of infection into it. It penetrates the eustachian tube from the nasopharynx. In this case, the pain in the ear is characterized by excessive aggressiveness, which is due to their spread throughout the head region. At the same time, patients experience painful and painful sensations. In addition, pain in the ear is accompanied by increased irritability. Such signals are not accidental in the body. The fact is that the ears are located from the brain in the immediate vicinity, and inflammatory processes can lead to very dangerous complications.

The main symptoms of the condition include a feeling of congestion, swelling and redness of the ear, external canal or lymph nodes of the neck. In addition to pain in the ear, the condition is accompanied by the release of pus or serous fluid from it, itching, discomfort, muffling or loss of auditory function. There is also peeling and reddening of the skin near the auricle.

This condition is accompanied by a sharp decrease in the auditory function, discomfort, a sense of congestion. Pain in the ear can be caused by injuries to the middle or outer ear, the formation of cysts, arthritis or arthrosis in the jaw joints, parotid abscess or parotitis and others.

In some cases, the condition may be caused by diseases of other organs. So, for example, acute pain in the ear in children often occurs with diseases of the oral cavity (caries and others).

When the temperature appears, it is recommended to insert a tampon moistened with boric alcohol in the child's ear . As a rule, the pain subsides. However, in the morning it is necessary to take the baby to the doctor.

In case of pain in the ears, use of alcohol-based drops is allowed only with the permission of the doctor.

To prevent the appearance of discomfort after bathing, you can use cotton swabs. Before bathing, they are not deeply inserted into the ears. In addition, after bathing, drying is recommended. You can dry your ears with cotton swabs or tampons.

The appearance of a cold can also cause discomfort in the auricles.
